targon as it is a grouping of celestials is also a place in runeterra, a mountain ripped from the earth to serve as a connetrion between Runeterra and "Targon prime"

a region with the oldest relevant history of Runeterra

just as celestials spirits can't traverse Runeterra without a physical form

some feed on believe

they are called "spirit gods"

the more people believe in them the stronger they are

there are also different spirits who feed on negative emotions

well these three sisters sought out more power for themselves

and each angered beings beyound their reconing

Avarosa confronted the darkness of the void and became deaf

Serylda messed with the celestials and lost her voice

having lost her sight, Lissandra began wandering in her dreams

promising the sisters near immortality and much power if she where to open the door to runeterra

her sisters wheren't content with serving the void and confronted their sister

but it was to late, a big rift was open for the watchers to enter runeterra

#

here the story is a bit fussy, because most records are biased towards lissandra

#

we do know that the Yetis an ancient powerfull race trapped the watchers in true ice

#

they seemed to have worked with lissandra

#

it seems she regretted her choice

#

but she did end up freezing her sisters beneath the ice as well

#

but yea for now Lissandra works in favor of containing the void

the watchers themselves where shocked

#

they where inexperienced and many just tryed to pop into existance forever frozen in a half physical state

the remaining changed their strategy

they would create small void creatures imitating life to learn about the physical world

Shurima is an achient empire to the south

well, in desperation to fight back Shurima they called upon a power that could drive back even God warriors

well in the end the acended of shurima managed to drive back the Void creatures

all of them left traumatised by the horrors of the void

Icathia was no more

a yough emperor called Azir would later acend to the throne of Shurima

#

he had a slave called Xerath

#

who he considered his friend and advisor

#

he planned of helping out the slaves of Shurima

#

but as time passes Xerath became furious that Azir would not act on his words

#

little did he know Azir planned to free all slaves on the day he would acend under the sun disk

#

so Xerath planned to take over controll

#

on that fatefull day he pushed Azir from the platform to absorb the power of the sun for himself

#

but he wasn't choosen

#

people like him who try to acend but aren't choosen are called Baccai

#

less powerful deformed Acended

#

but he was different

#

as his body was burned to ashes by the power of the sun

#

he managed to rip out all the power of the sun disk itself

#

while his body burned he managed to become a being made out of pure magical energy or mana

#

his actions lead to the whole capital city of Shurima being blown into orbit

#

he was later sealed by two acended brothers called Nasus and Renekton

#

but without leadership the acended begann to fight each other for power

#

their minds still damaged by the war against the void in Icathia

#

they where far from the glorious warriors they once where

#

they where called by a new name, "Darkin" or the dark ones

#

well they spend some time ripping each other to shreds till Targon decided to put an end to it all and sealed them in their ow weapons

#

what best way to resolve a problem than by sealing it away

#

pretty sure they never come back somehow and will never be a problem again

there are still 2 big events in the history of Runeterra

the first one are the rune wars

basically you remember the "world runes" used to create runeterra?

rurns out some Valorant kingdoms though it be a good idea to use these as weapons

basically runeterras equivalent of atomic warfare

the result of it all are a mage apprentice that made it his job to keep all the runes from being missused

called Ryze

he hunts them down and tryes to contain them

the other result is a group of fugitives of this war finds a forrest compleatly unharmed by the war

they found a kingdom called Demacia

#

using the wood of these trees called petricite to build buildings and armor that is able to counter magic

they also outlaw magic as a whole

and are magic paranoids

don't let people tell you that they are "super evil"

#

and racist

#

they suppress magic users yes

#

but some people seem to think they execute mages on the spot

#

and hunt them all

#

basically they just imprison mages who use their magic cause it is outlawed

pretty bad

but like

I would also want the goverment to at least control children born with firearms attached to their body

#

and stop them from using it

#

that is how demacia sees mages

#

what they fail do see is that magic is more than a weapon

#

and that controlling it works better when you teach the mages how to, not suppress their ability

#

but oh well

also to Ryze there is a pretty cool cinematic also featuring Demacia and some champs

you see a place called shadow isles in the south east of the map

well they used to be called blessed isles

#

well they have a well of lifegiving water

#

and some day a crazy king fanatically in love with the wife he has lost comes and tryes to revive her

killing all the priests of the island by doing so

#

but he tryes to use dark magic to revive her

#

the water and other powerfull magical artifacts of the island make the spell go out of controll

#

and basically kill everything on the island

#

at the same time reviving everything that has lived there as ghosts
