I think it's still in progress, there will probably be some announcement for party animals (role for events) when the server is done and launched

I'm still not sure if it should be a whitelist-only server or an open one. Whitelist-only would contribute to making griefing less common probably and making moderating the server much easier

I'm thinking maybe only people with 5th-class Mage and above are eligible to get whitelisted.
I want this server to be a safe haven for frierencord members, and for everyone to be aware of the rules. A safe place for people to spend their time in and have fun

Does anyone have a say in this? This is the first time I host a mc server and would love to hear some feedback

right now the mc server icon is the same as the discord's. and unfortunetely i can't really specify the server icon via the url so that it doesn't matter how much it's changed, so i will have to manually upload the icon whenever needed

also if you don't already know this, minecraft servers' activity vanishes 1-4 weeks after they're made public. But I'm going to play in it primarily instead of my single player world now so it's going to exist for a while

Nope you can login in vanilla minecraft without needing to do anything out of the ordinary! Just open the launcher, run the game, join the server

Though we have a map/mini-map mods that you can use with fabric that will help you play the game. One mod that will give advantage to fabric players is the open parties and claims mod, which allows you to make a certain area as yours to prevent other players for griefing, whether that be destroying blocks, killing unharmful mobs, or using explosives, so i highly recommend you to play in fabric for your own benefit, though not mandatory.
