I dont know that a template would help here, besides the fact it wouldn't save us time (we still have to go to every character's page individually to put in a template) its also less robust (eg some characters have point totals bc they were top 10 while others don't; the popularity poll format may change yet again for #3, etc)

i like the solo focus of the second (plus its a nice shot) but it doesnt show as much of his design and obscures part of his face

quick mask maybe? or magic wand tool? i think his hair geometry is simple enough where it should be possible to select just wirbel, invert the selection, and then blur

for the category pages theres usually a "explainer" regular page that looks nice so ill also put them under world if the category is also under world

I think we only have the explainer pages for categories when we have content that applies best there (e.g. the maps for the Locations page) or so we can organize the content more intuitively (e.g. characters by arc and minor characters on the List of Characters page)

and that's why species/classes are categories and don't have their own page

Is it a good idea?
I think the benefit would be that it's easier to understand and any of the images or articles can be switched out easily but it's also (the first?) template to only accept preset options.

well anyway here it is for now but theres 2 things im not sure how to fix

the character appearance template isnt working

and the headers are messed up after box even though its not contained

and in any case... how do you guys do quotes? Especially when the manga is not officially translated into English after a certain point. I'm not sure where to source the dialouge but let me know because I'd like to add quotes to most characters!

I think we've held off on quotes for the main cast bc it's very hard to narrow anything down as their most iconic quote lol

like if it's not a quote where as soon as you say it someone could think, "oh x character said this", or if it's not a microcosm of the character as a whole, then I feel like we don't necessarily need a quote for a character y'know?

but by all means feel free to add quotes

is it fine to have a representive quote that isnt like, the best it could be?

i feel like it might be better to have a good quote rather than try to have a great quote and have none at all

I think no quote is actually better - quotes are the first thing readers will see on the page, so if it's not a great quote imo better to let them actually get to the content of the pg

I'd also like to add that quotes at the top of the page are generally frowned upon on because they push more relevant information that people typically look for lower on the page (e.g. the infobox)

so if they are included, it should be a 1-2 sentence quote at most ideally

sorry I forgot to respond to this lol, yeah there are individual class pages but not a generic "class" page describing what classes are because it's not particularly necessary -- I believe a world page falls under the same idea since we already have the locations page

technically it's advised not to duplicate the categories but terminology on its own is pretty small and I agree that classes/species fit better in world to begin with

the anime had to adapt something that was popular enough to get an adaptation at all, so there had to be an established fanbase pre anime 😂
