Hi, I'm planning on starting a long term world on Minecraft 1.21.4 (as not all of the mods I wish to use are available on 1.21.5 yet) and in order to keep things engaging, I would like to make use of terralith with the terratonic compatibility addon along with nullscape and incendium, but I am curious how updating the world to 1.21.5 would look if even possible. Is it just as simple as moving the world to a new version of minecraft? I don't see any videos on youtube or posts online about this anywhere. If I could be pointed to some sort of step by step on doing this I'd highly appreciate it.

For the most part updating to the latest update is fine unless specified otherwise by a changelog, although it’s always best to backup your world before any update just in case. For WorldGen mods/packs sometimes you can see rare issues with chunkborders but usually Minecraft’s blending will try its best to make it look natural
would i need to somehow update the datapack?
Yes you would need to replace it with the latest version for the update
ill need to learn how to do that then, thank you!
OH ALSO ACTUALLY
i heard some things mentioned from people about a "terralith seed", does the datapack have an internal seed it uses to change the worldgen that i'll have to copy over to keep everything consistent?
It just uses the vanilla seed system, as long as you don’t change the seed of your world then your fine
ok cool, thank you, thats about all the questions I had
I do know that if your going to use tectonic/terratonic that it’s update to 1.21.5 is a massive overhaul/rewrite so it’s changes are fairly severe and noticeable but it should blend its terrain when updated. And I wouldn’t recommend Incendium as it has a lot of performance issues and it also currently undergoing a massive rewrite that will absolutely not be compatible to update due to how drastic the changes will be
i see, I'll keep that in mind then, thanks!
that was a thing in 1.18.2 and before. thankfully as of 1.19, minecraft fixed that "issue", so you dont need to worry about that stuff
