did you just create the world and notice it?
no
I've had terralith for 6 months and only now having problems on the edges of new exploration
I added structory and updated nullscape and terralith not that long ago
Sorry, also here's the map: http://mc.traillife.tk:8611/#world;surface;3483,64,-1076;0
Minecraft Dynamic Map
updated from what version(s)?
not sure
actually with Nullscape I reuploaded the same pack with higher end city weighting
I think the last time I updated structory was to add the halloween update
like was it 2.3.x to 2.3.5, or 2.2.x to 2.3.5? (aka did you change minecraft versions too)
ah ok!
I actually got a backup so I can compare
so structory was updated from 1-2 to 1-3
and terralith actually stayed the same
Nullscape I reuploaded the same pack with higher end city weighting
and the rest stayed the same
out of curiousity, which side was new, and which old?
because the weirdest part is that the deepslate is on a completely different level
I suppose for now I can manually smooth it down with world edit gradually between new and old terrain
oh wait
its actually an illusion
look at it from top down
those chunks are just simply not generated yet
i dont know why, but
look on the far left side of the map
uh, what coords
1100 2300
1191 64 2329
ah, i see it
yeah, i've never seen anything like that before
and im assuming players have been there at least for a while, since i see the start of a build off of the island on the left
did/are you use/using Chunky, or another pregen software?
no
ok, well, i have no idea. my best guess is that for some reason, the seed changed on your server?
ok
that wouldnt explain the very odd pattern of unloaded chunks, but it would explain why the biomes/terrain/etc abruptly changes
ive had this happen before for no reason
normally, an abrupt change in terrain is caused when people create a brand new server and its installed incorrectly, but this is not the case here, since there are terralith biomes on both sides of the "glitch"
this more looks like dynmap failing to generate them properly (probably due to the same bug) more than loaded/unloaded chunks
it happens from time to time
@versed swallow does chunky work smoothly with terralith/incendium/nullscape?
as long as used correctly, yes
some people just start using chunky without reading instructions on how to use it, which can result in ugly chunk borders (aka what you have), but at the end of their pregen radius
ok, but I never used chunky
thanks
yes, so make sure you read the instructions on their spigot page
yeah, so I read the docs and it just sounds like "select the area you want to pregen and wait"
how do people incorrectly generate and end up with borders?
i dont know, they just somehow do it wrong
although, it has been a while since people have had an issue after using chunky
ok cool thanks
