it has a lightweight flywheel (8 pounds vs 33 pounds stock), exedy clutch stage 1, greddy cat back exhaust (stock exhaust is very restrictive), 17x8 Konig wheels vs stock 16x6.5 and it's got lowering springs. The only problem right now is that the lowering springs are terrible with these bigger wheels and the rear bottoms out everywhere, thankfully I still have my coilovers from the old car that I'll throw on to fix that.

no, it is different because the transmission for the the 2zz has tighter gears for the sake of lift (aka vtec) and the 5 speed transmission is paired with the 1zz which doesn't have lift, because it's for economy e.g. it comes in the Corolla.

6th on the c60 (6 speed) transmission has roughly the same ratio as 5th on the c56 (5 speed) so roughly same economy, better on the 6 speed if you are good at shifting early

• we (romanians) have a bonus/malus system. you cause an accident, it goes down by 2 points. you did good all year? it goes up by one. you get -50% off if you have a +8 bonus and you pay 10% more for each malus (-) point, up to 8. these get reset if you don't have a car/bike/something to insure in your name for more than a year

several people can hold different policies on the same vehicle, but there's no reason to, it's more common to have one main driver holding the policy and the others just be named drivers that the policy also covers
while fronting is insurance fraud, it is perfectly legal to be the main driver on a policy and name a more experienced driver on the policy too even if they never drive the car to get cheaper prices

as for discounts, for every year we don't make a claim, we get a no-claims discount on any car insurance policies we take out. policies pay out once per incident against the vehicle, not per person. strictly speaking the no claims discount system isn't actually for no claims, because most policies will let you make one or two claims in a year because accidents happen before they wipe your several years of discounts from existence

I've replaced my oil pan gasket last week, didn't fix. Today I'm going to replace my valve cover gasket. Hopefully that's it, if not the only other thing it could be is a bad o ring on the timing chain tensioner, which to replace you have to remove the tensioner, which if that's the case I'll have to take it somewhere because I don't want to fuck up my timing 😭

Is the white container in the top right the windshield wiper fluid? If it's not then it's kinda cringe that they covered everything up because that's the one thing you need to be able to quite periodically refresh.

On a completelt different note

When I was driving to the supermarket last nighti made a turn I've made a million times where the cycling path covers the rightmost side of the car section and there was a cyclist there but there is plenty of space to make the turn safely and end up next to each other. Except this time there was some idiot food delivery kid on a mopad who at the same tries to overtake the cyclist so nearly hit me.

Instead of being sorry about it he started honking like a madman and following me all the way to the car barrier into the parking lot. I was just ignoring him before that coz I knew it was no problem and if he did hit me he was the one to blame*. Couldn't anymore then coz I had to open my window to get my parking ticket and he started shouting. Just said back "well you didn't hit me so I don't see a problem" and just kept driving past the barrier and he gave up after that.

* for several reasons

• unlike for cyclists and pedestrians he wouldn't have the automatic immunity when it involves a car since he was on a motorized vehicle
• his type of vehicle by law has to be on the cycling road, he was overtaking a cyclist by going on the car road.
• he'd have to rely on his employer being willing to back him through insurance whereas I had my own. See his employer back the kid up after boss(wo)man is told he wasted time in his delivery work by following someone screaming.

I'm not entirely sure where his vehicle was supposed to be. It depends on the max speed. Used to be you could tell from whether the people wear helmets but these days food delivery restaurants force helmets either way. Now you can tell by licence plate pattern but obv I didn't see his since he was behind me.
