What I didn’t like is the indie factor has been turned down a bit after the pilot. It’s a lot less “smiling friends” and a lot more “Rick and morty”, both are good but different

as expected there is a lot of depth in the characters, far more than it would seem from the pilot

the writing techniques are a little transparent with clear a/b stories and the episodes follow a very clear structure of exposition for character building alongside a situation comedy/drama plot to bring it all together, but it’s well executed

While I’m not a fan of musicals, I can appreciate when it’s well done and not a hindrance to the story

Episode 4 is where the writing really starts “going”, before that it’s really context, backstory, setup, exposition, etc.

Jellyfin gets hyped up by open source stans (read: people who think Stallman is a god) but because it's FOSS it also carries all the downsides of FOSS and those are mostly visible in the media player part (as opposed to the library part) which ironically is the most important part. Except not to those same stans because they're categorical hoarders and tweakers so they care far more about making a pixel 4 hex bits darker so their library looks just a bit better than actually playing ing content.

Over my dead body will I ever claim Plex is flawless but at least it is capable of streaming content on any and all devices

Like us at sapphire here the Devs of jellyfin probably all have full time jobs as well and they contribute to jellyfin out of the sheer love for the project and do so in their free time but they don't get much compensation for that time at all which is just sad. Again, same as what we do for sapphire. It isn't a necessity but it would be nice.

And if Plex does that through an in app purchase because they're a commercial company or whether jellyfin does it through asking people to donate is really just splitting hairs.

Airplay and Google cast are still subpar solutions to native apps and you WILL need to go back to the casting sending device sooner or later when casting. If that's a wired device away from your place where you watch content then you're completely missing the point of casting.

For example if you want to do next episode to skip the credits roll. This can be every 20-40 minutes which gets really tiresome really fast.

I finished watching Avatar the Last Airbender (Animated) series last night. Holy shit, I am awestruck. Absolutely some of the best writing ever, especially for a "kids" show. The only criticism I can give it is that the episodes should have been longer then 20 minutes, but even then, only a couple times did I feel an episode's arc was being pushed too fast. The ||series finale|| was a masterpiece, the music was amazing, literally had me do captivated the whole time. ||The fight between Azula and Zuko|| was so beautiful and the music was awesome, I loved ||how much they emphasized on Zuko's fighting style, he was using moves from other bending types and it absolutely roled her. Just shows how Azula was so stuck in a box, but Zuko saw the whole picture||. ||The fight between Ozai and Aang is really awesome too||, even the effects were top notch for its time. One gripe I had with the finale is ||that we didn't get to see a lot of action with Iroh and the White Lotus taking back in the city, like there wasn't anyone for him to fight one on one, I felt like the part where he got super buff in prison was a tease for him fighting somebody powerful||. Characters development and world building in this show were amazing, only a couple episodes in the first season were episodic, everything else felt like we were really developing this ongoing story and goal. Overall I rate it a 9.5/10
