You can either use an alt account or you can use an invite trick where you invite, leave at a certain time, and you can invite a second group.

Is there a reason I don't always get the invite box when I've been selected to join a raid?

If you react to a raid it does not mean you will be inside of the raid lobby. The lower the reactions the higher chance there is for you to enter the lobby.

if it's inside of the raid lobby, that might be bot latency.
And if you don't get an invite in the game it may not be a real host.

I click on join in the channel by clicking on the thumb. I wait for it to close once enough time has past and the raid has at least the requisite # of requests. Then I wait to see if I've been selected by watching the top of the screen to see if a pop up box (the raid chat) from the host comes up showing I've been selected (this usually takes between 8-15 seconds). A few times it hasn't popped up. The only way I know I was selected was either the host mentions me to see why I haven't responded by adding to friend list and messaged added or for some reason I go out of the channel and while scrolling see at one point I was invited to a raid.

ive been given about 3 warnings for "chatting" in the raid chat, i misspelled 2x the name of Kyurem and once i typed Kangaskhan and was told it should have been just Kang,

what gives with all these "official warnings"? and why so discriminatory against dyslexic people? ive hosted loads of raids properly on here and for one letter spelling mistakes it seems a bit harsh to be on a final warning type thing?

Messages sent in our raid channels are monitored by our Auto Moderator bot to keep the raid channels clean. Additionally, our RaidBot will not recognize the pokemon name unless it is spelt correctly.

If you find it easier, you can copy a previous host’s message in the raid channel, and adjust it to suit your needs.

Because it is raid hour there is a large demand for hosting, but not an equal demand for joining the raid. So there is an imbalance that leads to making it more difficult to host during raid hours
