You also can host during raid hours etc where It's locked to only VH and Premium members only

My unsolicited 2-cents: Ben and the admins/developers put in a TREMENDOUS amount of time and effort to run this server. Cheops (an admin) wrote the RaidBot from scratch. They are constantly updating the server, optimizing the bot, coordinating with moderators, running tournaments, thinking of new ways to improve the server. Quite frankly they deserve to be paid for their time and efforts.

And apparently they also need the money for bathroom reservations… a shower curtain? Staff is always up to something strange… 🤔

Well I asked twice it chat and then here and absolutely no acknowledgement. Its frustrating. And I don't uncollaspe my channels. I wish I could delete channels that I never use to make my list cleaner but I can't do that either. It "updates" or something and uncollaspes every channel on every server I'm in and it's annoying as hell.

It's just that there are different settings which can cause it and only you really know what you have set up. Also these are very specific things that not every mod/helper is comfortable giving advice on. So it might take some time until someone with enough knowledge sees it and has time to answer it

Oh, my bad. I apologise you weren't talking to me. So did i answer your question @winged vortex? You can mute any of the channels either by catergory or singular but you'll need to use the server settings to do the rest to hide the channels. I wouldn't expect mods to know the ins an outs of discord. They're here to monitor the raid channels answer modmail and other duties of the server. I also wouldn't expect some of the helpers to know either the ones that would know are the members that use discord on a daily bases.

I've done that but discord uncollaspes my collapsed channels and puts me into the welcome/first/main channel in all my servers from time to time. Discord was a hot button and divisive subject when my local community forced it on us and called people stupid for not wanting it and saying it was so great blah blah blah. I thought I've learned the basics pretty well and gone through all the settings menus I could find but I'm getting frustrated with all the channels I wish I could delete because I have no use for. Discord should let individuals at least put the channels in whatever order they want. I use so few and sometimes they're so far down the list it's ridiculous. I also have all notifications turned off because I don't want to be pinged when I'm sleeping lol.

So I did a little playing around and I thought if I muted the category it would mute all channels within it but I have to mute all channels and the category. I'll fine tune this and see what happens but I still think discord will uncollaspe my categories. I'll wait and see about that

Signing up via Discord is unfortunately only possible through the desktop or web based apps, not yet through the mobile app. It's still a beta feature and not yet rolled out there apparently.
Regarding your Patreon payment: I don't really have insights to it, could you please DM @simple stone so Admins/Ben can take a dedicated look at your case?

You will get notifications for the T5 raids that are set to a channel, like #tornadus; if you mark interested as anything linked to a voice channel, it will not send you a notification; we add those as an awareness thing and since they have no channels we don’t actually ‘start’ the event, if that makes sense.

We only do the pings for major events, and discord should send you a push notification when it begins

Hello - during raid hour days the channel prioritizes Verified Hosts and Premium supporters; it will lock while hosts are waiting to be filled. During raid hour there is a mass amount of hosts so it can prove to be challenging.

To clarify, raid channels lock while someone is hosting, so if there is a raid waiting to be filled, you will need to wait until the raids are filled. Raidbot will allow regular users to host, however if multiple people type the -host command at the same time, it will prioritize VH and Supporters, so it is unlikely that you'll be able to get a host in during Raid Hour.

You have to be a verified host. You can apply for it after hosted for 500 members and being in the server for more than 30 days. You can check if you're elligible with -info in #commands

you can always check it yourself with the -info command in #commands. If it says status: host and you're not in a lobby anymore we need to clear you

Currently, i see 3 active posts. Sometimes the channel doesn't let you type immediately after the raid fills up due to the delay in your discord client

unfortunately, it's rather difficult to host during raid hour since the supply of raids is higher

nope. We do not have level requirements here. Make sure you are above level 5 though since that is Niantic's level limit to unlock raids
