You can invite 10 people but it's risky. You invite the first set of 5 people, wait until one person joins then leave. Wait 30 secs from the first set of invites to second set then invite the other 5. But I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have enough experience doing so cause failing to invite everyone will cause you to receive a warning

After you tried reaching out to the player

So they know that player was unresponsive

After a few minutes of you trying to reach that player

That is a known bug with Discord and iOS where the send button can disappear if a channel is locking or unlocking in the background. You may have to delete what you have typed and type it again, some people have also said that switching to the emoji keyboard and then back to normal keyboard brings the send button back
