Hello I tried copying he names using the method by copying the string of names but it didn’t carry over to Pokémon go so I had to unfortunately enter each name manually is there a way to fix the issue so it doesn’t happen again ?

And that took time as I had to jump back and forth entering in names

usually what i do is i use friendship level

if you sort friendship level from least to greatest

it shows the people you just added, and i just invite everyone from there

One other thing that REALLY helps, is if the people who are going to raid with you TURN ON their setting so that you can see if they are ONLINE or NOT. Then you can sort by BFF STATUS (as you said) AND they will be tagged with GREEN DOTS or whatever they are and you can VERY EASILY see who to invite.

I rarely ever have an issue if people turn on their status, but if they don't and they have an IGN (In Game Name) that is different from their DISCORD NAME then I have missed a person before. Obviously as a host you don't want to miss anyone and as a raid guest you don't want to be missed, so it really helps EVERYONE to turn on your ONLINE STATUS during any raiding.

This is a global server so it's hard to find people to trade with. Silph Road has a map where you can find your local discord server for trading. https://thesilphroad.com/map

There is no "official" server. If Niantic wanted this game to be played socially, they would have included communication options in the app. They did not, so it must be inferred that they did not intend for people to communicate with one another except in-person. Which is odd.

Yet, not odd at all when considered against Niantic's decisions as a whole. They rarely make sense.

That said, and getting back to your questions, this is a VERY GOOD raiding discord. In my opinion, one of the better - if not the best - one out there. HOWEVER, (there's that word again) there are others... Some are larger which can be good and bad. Some are smaller. Some are in other countries and languages. As @zealous zealot suggested, you can definitely search for others and be a member of more than one.

MY suggestion is that this is a very very good discord for raiding. I'd keep this as a raiding server. BUT I would also suggest searching for a server that serves your local community. I am a member of one of the local-to-my home servers where I actually do meet up with friends in person. Another REALLY GOOD thing about the local servers is that when you go LUCKY FRIENDS with someone, there is a good chance of meeting up with them and getting to take advantage of that trade, and this is even MORE useful when they do the 40 km trade range increase. Then it is almost simple to chat on discord and arrange to do a trade as long as you are within 20-25 miles of one another.

If you are referring to pings, you can either turn them off or on in the notification settings through the server by either right clicking the server name or tapping on the name and going to Notification Settings (whether you’re on mobile or pc).

Np, also if you select roles (in #select-raid-roles) that you no longer want you can clear them using -clearroles in #commands. You don’t currently have any but for if you wanted some in the future :)

@sudden jacinth if you mean for things like @ mentions, you want to go to notification settings for the server, which is the … next to Pokémon go raiders in the top left corner. You will see a drop down menu if you click on that includes notifications. You can suppress @ everyone and @ here notifications, suppress All Role @ mentions, only get notified if you personally are mentioned, etc. you can also mute the server, but then you would miss knowing if you were accepted in a raid. You can also change the settings of individual channels, so that you only get the notifications for them, or don’t receive notifications for specific channels.

The specific channel part is particularly useful, and it took me a long time to figure out…

When the lobby you were in is closed. It gets archived a few minutes. You are not in it anymore, but it's there so you, and we, can still view it when something went wrong in it. For example troll hosts etc.

Okay so for regirock, the raid channel remains locked as long as there is an active raid. If you are hosting, you have to wait until there is no active lobby in the channel. For joining, click the thumbs up. #793767024262119433 has more details which may help.

Regigigas is currently locked until the Admins can verify that there is a legit raid.

I don’t have screenshots I left the chat very furious, but this person hosted a raid ( Regice ) and someone bailed before the invites got sent but the host said “ I’ll invite others to back us up” since we would only be 5 and then as we go into the lobby, the host leaves like 2 seconds before the raid had begun and on the chat he says let me know when it’s finished... I was so confused because nowhere did she state she would not participate in the raid. We all unfortunately wasted the pass since we couldn’t even get half way with the raid boss.
