ok theres a bug with discord on IOS you need to retype it every time a raid is hosted because of the way iphone detects when you haven't typed anything, whenever the permissions change it thinks you haven't typed anything regardless if you have typed something or not

The numbers are the minimum and maximum amount of people who can join. For example if you hosted gengar you would use - host (without the space) gengar 3 6 for a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 6 people.

I think when that happens it's down to connection and what Discord sees first so even though on your screen you were first, on Discord's end it was the other person that actually sent their message. But you're verified now anyway 👍

It's been like this for a little while, I can't remember when exactly it changed. It helps the bot run smoothly and controlling the number of hosts at a time also helps the raids get filled. Extra channels can get added for certain bosses especially when they first launch if the admins/mods decide there is enough demand for it.

I'm glad it was solved. Tagging mods in the lobby is the best way, but all staff are volunteers so there might be times when a mod might not be able to respond. If you have an issue continue to take screenshots and the note the names of people so you can send a report to @simple stone afterwards, just in case a Mod is unable to respond to a ping at the time.

As the bot had already started to fill someone else's raid the channel locked, as only one host can happen at a time. It looks like your device let you send your message so there was probably a bit of a lag, which is why there is that error message. If you restart Discord that usually sorts that out. But you will have to wait for there to be no hosts before you can send yours.

that's correct, one host at a time unless they are a Verified Host or Patreon Supporter. So the channel will be read only when a raid is being hosted for you.

As for mobile. There's a bug on iOS where the send button can disappear whilst the channel is locking and unlocking in the background, you can try switching to the emoji keyboard and then back again or deleting what you have typed and retyping it
