Is there a way to set a trainer level limit when hosting a raid? I just hosted a megaraid and had some 20's and a level 19 and we had no chance to beat the mega pokemon.

Nope. There is no level discrimination here.

I assume then if I see a get a group of 5 people and I see their levels are all near 20, I can't just cancel the room without facing a penalty? I'm not trying to discriminate, but if I were go ahead in that scenario, odds are really high I'd be wasting a raid pass.

Correct you can't just cancel the room. As that would be discriminating against them because of their level.

Raid passes are good for the entire duration of the raid.

If you fail again, I recommend that you tag the Moderators in the lobby. They might be able to assist in some way, shape, or form.

I apologize that it went south. It may or may not help but you can message Niantic about the lost pass. Sometimes they refund it if you tell them you tried a raid and couldn't complete it or errored out or somethin.

Has anybody been having issues where people are not getting raid invites despite all invites being sent out by host?

I just hosted a lobby and clicked all 5 names to invite to the raid. One person kept asking for the invite though I saw after the raid finished. They didn’t become a good friend so I assume they didn’t join up. I clicked all 5 names that had 0 friendship hearts (the ones I just accepted) and double checked that I couldn’t send any more invites out.

I did see an update to the game said “fixes to raid invites”

try updating. But usually any case of an invite now showing up can either be the invites werent sent out fast enough (you have the 120 window but best to do it in the first 20s) and the raider can get it late from internet connectivity or too many in game notifications block it

Sometimes the switch from discord to pogo makes it hard for pogo to connect and they miss it entirely or dont get at all.

the best you can do is communicate when its being sent and then when its actually sent
