Unfortunately a few people are just terrible hosts, and they need to be reported. The game does bug on invites sometimes, it might help to restart it if you've joined a few raid lobbys and haven't gotten any invites from the host.

Or, if you're both near the same gym, just host as normal and let them join. And if you just want to host and invite them, just minus one spot on your min/max host commands. So 5 5 for a lat raid, for example.

Since you can only send 5 invites, that would get 4 people from this server, and then you'd have one left foot your friend.

The bot randomly selects people. It isn’t based on how quickly you react to the raid.

Higher chances of getting selected if it’s a less popular raid
