  1. pick two days a week that are lecture days/days that you will watch the classes. the original layout for the cohort was Tuesday/Thursday and is the schedule that a lot of people (including me!) follow, though some people do a Monday/Wednesday variation.
  2. use https://communitytaught.org. it very easily tells you what homework is due and when, the course materials, has the submission links for all the hw, and if you make an account, you can track your progress.
  3. talk to people and get involved. a cohort may not be going on atm but there's people going through the course same as you. #🕒catchup-crew is a great channel to share what you're working on and see what other people are working on and there's a few threads as well that are decently active.
  4. use a calendar/ to do site or app to plan out your days! having a plan ready for the day makes it much easier to just execute it than if you have to spend 30mins figuring out what you need to do each day.

I started out watching the classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, then switched to Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid some conflicts in my schedule. I would stick to two classes per week, however you want to do them. I did three one week and it was just too much, even with some of the HTML/CSS being review for me. communitytaught.org has the classes, complete with check-in links, and the homework with its due dates. I also have a weekly planner where I write down what days I'm watching classes and what homework I need to get through. It also has a habit tracker section where I just mark off if I did typing practice and/or anki. Between communitytaught.org and my weekly planner, I'm doing OK so far!
