Hello everyone, I’m new just signed up today. Having a hard time understanding what I need to do to make sure I’m ready. I’ve downloaded all the apps and checked all the must reads. Is there software I need to download before starting tomorrow? Do I need to complete all previous lessons before starting? Where do I watch listen tomorrow?

Thank you!

welcome! You can download vs code or a different text editor for assignments/projects. Cohort 3 will be starting soon so I suggest starting some of the old classes just so that you'll be familiar with some of the material.

Hey @bold matrix , welcome to the community. The live cohort 3 is set to begin on March 5th. In order to join along live and have access to the additional job resources, you'll just need to fill out the short google form survey that will be posted to #📝follow-along-materials within the next week or so. It hasn't been posted yet, so just keep eyes out or turn on Channel notifications for that specific channel. Signup is not required but you won't have the opportunity for references, certification or access to agency projects unless you signup. Everything is free.

In the meantime, if you'd like to get a head start on HTML CSS, you can start at class one on https://communitytaught.org/dashboard . All the class readings and homework assignments are linked on that page. As you move through the program, Leon will show you how to download and install tools you'll use in class (VS Code namely).

In the meantime, if you'd like to join in and hear about the program, we have twice weekly 'huddles' (job QA sessions) on the Discord #959571473188659280 that go live on Tuesdays and Fridays @ 5:30pm EST for an hour to an hour and a half. As we get closer to the start date for Cohort 3, Leon will give more details about how he sees the next cohort / program developing. Let us know if you have any other questions !
