Finding a remote job

Hi all!
I apply alot but I don't get any replies from companies abroad in USA or Europe except one time for amazon internship and they didn't reply after the technical quiz.
Someone told me it's hard for abroad companies to give you a remote job or a sponsored visa where you don't live unless it's a FAANG or some big tech company.
Does anyone know if that's true, since 10k$ per year would be more than great in my country but it's not that easy to get there.
