with the unlinked pack I cant even start it, the owner of the pack isnt updating it to .11 either

download the newest version of uilib for your minecraft version, if that doesnt fix it, press the settings button, go to installation and unlink the modpack if it says you need to. Then you can change the fabric loader version to 0.18.5+
