Now I know some people say this is just a myth but I'm not really talking to those people now the people that do believe you can time the vaults do y'all know of a mod that will automatically time it for you using a client side command or something to choose which item you want

The item you get from the vault is completely random and not related to the item being shown when you initially unlock the vault, as said in the Minecraft Wiki: "These random item displays cannot be used for timing the unlocking, as the items to eject are rolled independently of whatever the idle display shows." (https://minecraft.wiki/w/Vault#Unlocking)
There is no mod for automatically "timing" the vault unlocking to get a specific item because it is impossible. (Maybe it is possible by cracking the randomness, but I dont think there is a mod for that.)

Yea i mean im also the one who believes its completely random but it is possible to make a mod like that which clicks when a specific item is shown in the client
Although i don't think developers would make such a mod coz they are usually the ones to believe its random

whenever you unlock the vault, it changes to a random item (not cycled from a list) from the item being shown, so no its not possible to click it when a specific item is shown to get the item. Developers wouldnt try to make such mod, as by looking at the unobfuscated code the fact that its random comes quite quickly clear

You guys are both right it is random but I have seen if you see what is in the vault cage. It give a you a better chance of getting it not a 100 but more then 7%

Technically yes, it probably wont be the same item again (or it might just be set that it cant be the same item again) but it doesnt really matter
