Hello ! I am working on a modpack to play with my friends, but unfortunately, it doesn't run very well on their machines. I have a few suspicions that it might just be the amount of mods in it, but most of them are very small so I'm unsure. Any advice would be appreciated !
I get around 60-80 FPS with higher shader settings, my friend gets anywhere between 0-15 FPS with no shaders.

Is it good if i modify it for a client optimized version? @raven hornet
Sure ! Just if you wouldn't mind telling me the changes you make, that'd be very appreciated
Should i make a whole change log for exactly which mod is added/removed?
Or, wait actually. I'm still somewhat inexperienced with creating mod packs, so I don't know what everything means. Does 'client optimized' just mean better FPS and such rather than server performance?
If it isn't too much to ask, that'd be great !
It means it is made to run best on the client like no server optimization mods
Ohh I see, yeah !
I do plan on making a server with this mod pack soon, should I have two separate versions of the pack for clients and the server?
It's tipically good, bc you don't slow the server down or cause problems with client only mods
Yeah I figured, thank you!

Do and your friend have an Nvidia GPU? @raven hornet
Yes we both do
That's good bc for this version nvidium is still available!
Oh awesome !! I completely forgot that existed actually, I dunno how..
I think I used it like, a year ago for a modpack on curseforge and just totally forgot about it.

@raven hornet test it bc i had to force nvidium to work with the latest sodium version and idk if it even works
Also this is a VERY heavy pack even on my pc so you can turn settings lower for better fps and use lighter shaders like MakeupUltrafast or Photon on low setting
Thank you so much, and I understand! If I may ask, what about it makes it so heavy? Is it just the amount of mods there are, even if most of them are small changes?

And disable cloud rendering in Distant Horizons and disable Fog interily bc it hits hard espesially with shaders
Understood !
On fps and load times mostly just the visual mods, and the other are kinda fine bc world rendering was ok
Huh? Why does modrinth hash it and not accept outside modpacks?!!!
The thing prob doesn't like that i modified nvidium
One sec i'll re pack it and send modified nvidium separetely

Does it launch now without nvidium?
@raven hornet
Yeah it imported fine ! About to launch it rn..
Is it feasable to downgrade sodium to 0.5.11 or would that break a lot of other things?
Erm i have modified it to lunch with the latest version tho....... No it will break like 20 mods
Hold on i'll double check my modification
Does it launch properly for you?
It did
