I know this message was from a long time ago, but do you know why this works? I've tried so many other methods and this was the only one that worked.
Started getting this error. This post saved me from leaving Modrinth server hosting. Can't believe the support wait time jumped from 1 hour to 6.
Happy to hear it helped.
Thank you, this helped us too. Was super frustrating all day long.
Do you mean you switched from using an IP (123.123.123.123) to a domain name (something.probably.modrinth.com) ?
If so, I believe this is a an error caused by the silly reverse DNS check performed by vanilla MC, here's a clientside mod that should fix the issue : https://modrinth.com/mod/fast-ip-ping
I just switched the address name.
Eg: from "game.modrinth.gg" to "game1.modrinth.gg
Just happened again, does this mod fixes that?
Oh intresting. Then that's something else, probably still related to DNS issues, but I dont think the mod will fix it. You can try it tho, it doesn't hurt to have it
Hmm..
I'm having a lot of instability, but is prolly bc of my modpack.
It uses TaCZ and two infection mods.
Adding this mod won't cause any instability
Could chunky be crashing the server?
