Problem changing from Forge to Fabric | Modrinth | Page 1

Hey! Ive been playing on a (basically) vanilla singleplayer world using Forge but i wanted to add a fabric mod to it now so i tried switching the modpack to fabric (given that the mod i was using is available on forge and fabric) but now its giving me this error

You need to install fabric api

do i have to install it separately like manually or can it be done through the modrinth app??

cuz i thought modrinth automatically downloaded it

No problem! The reason it's like that is because fabric isn't specific to minecraft, it can be used in quite a few java games afaik. Fabric api just adds some minecraft-specific stuff
