I don't think they will make an exception for u

#

There's just a plethora of projects that need to be reviewed

dreamy kite
#

it will be reviewed when it is please be patient

quartz widget
#

And the review process is clogged like a not working toilet. But it works

#

What's the exception? plugins a plugin. modpacks are a modpack. is there reviewers per category?

quartz widget
#

I think the delay now is a couple of days

The delay on holidays was like a week

Not it's day to 2 days

I should of made myself clearer. The plugin itself is small, it won't take long to review. will modpacks with 180 mods or whoever was in front of me in the queue get priority? even if the modpack is huge and plugins are smaller and easier to review?

#

again, protectcord is only a plugin.

quartz widget
#

Honestly I think modpacks are easier, cuz they need to review only the mods that weren't on Modrinth

#

If it's on modritnh and has a link to modrinth it's safe

distant current
#

1 jar file which is a plugin compared to 100's of mods that could potentially not be listed on modrinth? surely plugins are easier.

Ohhh I get what you are asking

#

You are wondering if there are several queues. Like one specifically for Plugins, One specifically for Modpacks, Mods, Etc...

Or if there is just one global queue that everything goes under.

#

Right?

distant current
#

Yeah, thats it

pallid wraith
#

I cannot answer that for you as I am not sure. But there is the question

distant current
#

๐Ÿ˜ข

#

Still not done

distant current
#

I just went on the modrinth page, it clearly shows MULTIPLE plugins that were published 4 hours ago, get submitted to the page. so are they really that strict on following their process queue.

dreamy kite
#

Plugins etc are accepted on how long ago they were submit and how big the plugin is

#

just be patient bro

distant current
#

patience isn't my speciality when its incredibly easy to check plugins.

#

Decompile, check for bad stuff, check all the data, see if the descriptions add up, check if the plugin is leaked or not. check if the author is legit or not by doing a tiny bit of background checking.

shut up and be patient what else you want me to tell you

distant current

Even 1h per project and you can easily calculate that the time exceeds one day

While it's not a given, a new content moderator would probably be a paid contracted position, but I am not a team member to say that with any confidence

#

Modrinth's review process isn't as straightforward as you think

distant current
sage bay
#

While I, and the team, would appreciate the sentiment, I ask you to be patient

#

Your project isn't special and all of them are reviewed in order

distant current
#

๐Ÿ˜ข special to me.. but anyways I shall be patient

sage bay
#

If there's a significant delay it probably means additional checks or disagreement between moderators

distant current
sage bay
sage bay
#

After that a person manually takes a look at you project page and uploaded files to make sure they don't violate the content rules

#

Like No cheating, rules about forking, etc

distant current
#

All our plugin does is communicate with an IP checker that our discord bot uses, and looks for an onjoin event to check ips and then if they are using a vpn or proxy it denies entry into the server. not exactly rocket science. but it's our own api.

sage bay
#

The projects are reviewed in order that they're submitted to the queue, and no projects can be left out

distant current
#

surely something automated could review it?

sage bay
#

Moderators don't always check for the insides of your mod

#

They check if it follows the rules

#

They look inside if it's suspicious, not always

#

Their goal is for all projects to pass a baseline of quality/effort and to sift through reuploads, malware and cheats

#

What could be hard to check or raise suspicions I cannot say for sure

distant current
#

so lets say i just put in all of that work into making the plugin look good on your website, if for whatever reason it fails the review process is it completely deleted from the website? or do i need to just correct what it fails on?

sage bay
#

It doesn't get deleted or taken down unless something is super wrong

#

You can correct and improve the project and resubmit it

#

The changes you make while it's in the queue don't affect your position in it, but if it was declined and you resubmitted - it goes to the back

#

Currently it's most likely that your plugin will be reviewed within 3+ days

#

Don't take that as a promise though, this is an approximator based on statistics, not a predictor

distant current
#

damn 8.4 days

#

thats crazy

sage bay
#

As you can see in the description, it's the highest time it might have to wait

#

99% of the projects are reviewed in less time

sage bay
#

That date is the date when it passed moderation review

#

not created

distant current
#

yeah but that's the worst case scenario

distant current
#

another day... another day waiting for review

muted garnet
#

then wait
