Mods not working in server

so my friend and i are trying to add mods to this server that i bought yesterday and it took us forever to finally open the world, but some of the mods i wanted to include simply just would not work in multiplayer so we got rid of them. the problem we are having is that we cant seem to get our existing mods (like farmer's delight, biome's o plenty and furniture mods) to work in the server. we have shaders and optifine on and those work just fine as does the map mods we have, but the other mods don't work and even when we play in creative in the server we cant place certain blocks down or see a lot of crafting recipes (we are using jei). is there a reason why this is happening? everything works just fine in singleplayer but nothing works in multiplayer

i know this probably is an easy fix, but i really do not have much experience using mods for multiplayer

we're using forge for all the mods and they all work for forge

we have our instances for forge as well

idk try reuploading all of the files again for the mods maybe smth failed to upload

i dont know how that could be because everything works in singleplayer, its just multiplayer thats an issue

we also already tried that like three times

@hazy flare idk if you still need help but what jar file are you using to launch your server?

From the sound of it your server is launching in vanilla while you aren’t, so maybe it’s the wrong server jar

i mean it does show up as "incompatible vanilla server" or "vanilla server" so that is probably it

i forgot what jar file im using so i'll check later

We have these jar files only, im not sure if we need to run them first to install something but im not sure how.

seriously does anyone know how to fix this issue 😭 its like we keep running into roadblocks and whenever we get closer to fixing the issue something else goes wrong

Youll need to get your hands on the forge server jar, which (if I recall correctly) you do by running the installer on your pc in a separate folder and choosing the “server” option. Then you upload those files and choose the correct jar as your server file in the settings.
