#JJ Thunder to the Max error and not working in game

I've just started trying to use JJ Thunder to the Max along with Distant Horizons and the usual Iris + Sodium etc and it gives an incompatible version error message when I try to install the datapack in Modrinth. It lets me install anyway, and shows in the datapacks list but in game the mod isn't listed and doesn't function at all. I have tried using Fabric 1.21.1 and 1.20.1, both of which are compatible versions but it just never works. I'd love some help on this please.

Just because it lets you download it doesn’t mean that it’ll work fine

But it gives the same error for every version that it states does work with that version

Even if it says so it probably isn’t going to work

It works with 1.21.1 and below as confirmed by loads of other users and videos online and the developer himself on the page

#

So I know it works

True alright I'll try that

Take the jar files from the data pack zip and into the mods folder

#

If it isn’t a jar file then it most likely won’t work

rugged rock

Mmm yeah the zip download doesn't contain jar files just json files for each dimension and other bits

#

And it's supposed to work as a datapack not a mod...the zip file is already in the datapacks folder

#

Hmm so of course it doesn't show in the mods list hahaha

I only know how to make it work with jar files

rugged rock
#

Hmmm thanks anyway

#

I will keep tryna work it out

rugged rock
#

Well it works when I use the regular Minecraft launcher and manually install everything

#

Weird

#

L for Modrinth

#

If anyone ends up knowing why feel free to tell me

@rugged rock jjthunder isn't a mod 😭

#

Datapacks must be manually loaded per world (unless you use the paxi mod) which the modrinth app can't implement

Yeah I ended up working that out 😅
