I play on a Aternos server with Modrinth launcher. I admit the world has some mods, datapacks and shader but not crazy things, it’s pretty vanilla.
Anyways, I haven’t had any problems at the beginning but now „Zulu platform x64 architecture“ is taking 100% of my cpu everytime I’m on the world. It’s so far, that I can’t even load up the world.
Someone got a solution or Tipps? I can’t play Minecraft anymore :(

Zulu platform is the miencraft launcher
the shaders are probably driving your cpu usage all the way up
maybe try playing with no shaders
But it worked before
Have you added anything new?
Can you send your specs on ur pc
what are you on, mac or windows
Windows
press the windows key
and search about this pc
and then send a screenshot of what comes up
Where can I find my screenshots?
press cntrl+v
Pictures empty
see if it was copied on your clipboard
how did you take the screenshot? what did you do
cntrl Shift s
its windows shift s
and it should automaitcally copy to your clipboard after u press it
okay so no performance is not the issue
Pc pretty new
are you using any client sided mods?
Wym by that
I use aternos
And modrinth as launcher
Can you send a screenshot of the mods instead
nah itll take a few photos
can you open minecraft and then send a ss of it in task manager
th ecpu usage
i wanna see it
Alr
I think thats normal that it jumps to 20 when launching
can you send a screenshot of how the thing looks in game
thats when im on the world
just want to see how modful it is
because
most likely
its just because its alot of mods
and modded mc takes a toll on your pc sometimes
while its running
It starts lagging so hard that I can’t even look around and then I get the message „Zulu doesn’t respond“
And then I choose close program
try installing this on your client and sending the link it outputs when doing /sparkc https://modrinth.com/mod/spark
since zulu platform x64 architecture is just minecraft, its a mod causing it
I have a lot of performance mods already installed. What should I do with them?
Or won’t they affect much if I just keep them
just leave them on
if that other world lags too it will
The other world works fine
Even when I join without shader everything lags
And then crashes
Nvm
Every world lags
It lags too much
But one world works
It’s really laggy tho
It just says run /sparkc help to view usage information
So I guess /sparkc doesn’t exist
/sparkc profiler start --timeout 10
Not long enough for accurate results
set 10 to a bigger number than
I can just stay a few seconds on the map and type commands before it crashes
So will it even work?
probably not then
So what can I do?
It worked before with all the mods
It just started today that everything crashes after a few seconds
I deleted „Bobby“ mod now and everything works again. It’s like a mod that shows all chunks rendered but without simulation, so you can see really far away. Is it really a such high impact on my cpu?
Cuz it started lagging that bad since I rendered more chunks with this mod
that would probably do it
iirc it also increases the render distance to 64 and anything past is saved
So iirc is like Bobby but with less impact?
Cuz I really wanna see the chunks I visited rendered
oh
it can be, especially if you’re running out of RAM
I got 2x 32
Is it that bad?
mods like that can potentially require a lot of RAM, and if you don’t have enough for it, the program will constantly try to free some up, gobbling up CPU time
64 gigs is huge
yeah lots of ram makes it run slower in some cases
should be more than enough
12gigs is a ceiling for minecraft in most cases
you rarely if ever need more than 12; i more meant like if you’re playing on a laptop with 16gigs of memory total or something
Then why it won’t work?
It says Zulu uses 2gb-3gb ram and 97% cpu
If I have Bobby installed
PS zulu is java, but packaged by amazon, it’s nothing special
how much memory did you set for minecraft in launcher settings?
2-3 gigs is sus
Where can I look it up?
Do you use modrinth app? If so, open the instance and go to instance settings
in instance settings
And I got a question rq. I deleted Bobby, set my viewing distance to 12 chunks and I can still see everything 1000 meters away?
It’s like I’m using Bobby but without Bobby
8mb…..
12*16=192, so no
megabytes or gigabytes?
it cant go to 8mb so id assume gb
nevermind ive been corrected
Nvm, it wasn’t on 8mb
you were correct, you cant, this is a very weird glitch
2gb is WAY too low
still too little for Bobby
I set it to 8 now
try it now
Ye
I feel so dumb now
I can play Minecraft again without lags and a exploding pc
Tysm!!!!
❤️
you should probably set that in the global settings too
How
just click the settings in the bottom left of the launcher and set the memory allocation
you can find the same slider in app settings
