Are they allowed to edit it?
Are they allowed to sell it?
Was that choose a license?
Yes
Non-judgmental guidance on choosing a license for your open source project
Lol I'm special apparently
No, it was the CC licence chooser, this thing
Creative commons isn't recommended for code, but that works too.
Anyways, if you want help choosing one, either go with a website or answer these questions:
- Is your project open-source? If no, you're done - ARR
- Do you want people to be edit your project? If no, you're done - ARR
- If people edit your project, can they sell it or make money?
- If people edit your project, what rules do they have to follow?
just use it
Use All Rights Reserved if that's it
choose a license is greyed out
It might be under ARR
whats that
All Rights Reserved
i cant publish it because there isn't a list of licences and nobody on youtube/google has a tutorial
Start typing in the license url box and see if it lets you put "All Rights Reserved"
i cant
i cant type in it
hello?
i was doing it in project settings
@dim thistle what is the url i put in?
i did that
i changed disabled to enabled
?
Good idea. Either a link to a GitHub gist with the text of the license, or maybe just "All Rights Reserved". Whatever will let you submit xd.
ok i tried all rights reserved and that didnt work so ill do the github thing
thx bro
have a good day
U2 :)
bye
Same cant type in it either
@craggy skiff Not sure if you folks are aware of this
