I'm trying to load a texture pack. The file extension is .zip. but it gives an error that I can't understand.

it gives an error because you selected fabric as a loader

it should be resource pack, not fabric

pack.mcmeta must be in the root of the archive, in your archive it's one directory deep

rather than zipping the folder, zip all files in the folder
