Also, all versions of Minecraft java are virtualized, The JVM (Java virtual machine) runs all java code, and always has.
fix needing the JVM? play bedrock
literally. the JVM is not a quote-unquote actual virtual machine. it's what runs all Java code. Minecraft: Java Edition is written in, as the name suggests, Java
you're only using 2 gigs of ram genius
2GB of ram works fine depending on the modpack
ok...?
Theres also not really a need to be condesending. Theyre just asking for help.
thank you @past crown found the solution. I dislike when people spew nonsense judgmental remarks rather than helping. All I needed to do is change the java version to the latest one I had installed. Not sure how but it fixed it.
Well glad its fixed.
Also, while I didnt think it was the issue, if you have 64GB of ram in the system upping the ram to 4 gigs would probably be a good idea. The pack does seem more than just vanilla./
will do
Honestly even 6 or 8 would be fine aswell. But 4 should be enough?
if you're using GenZGC or Shen, honestly allocate as much as you want
you started out with "virtualizes the game" mb for being judgemental 🤷. plus asking you to up the ram isn't a terrible idea by any means, its a good first step to try to diagnose the issue.
mb for that too :/
