This has been a very consistent problem when certain mods update to versions that are incompatible with other mods, leading to me having to manually switch them back to their previous versions over and over again to avoid crash locking. But this also means i can no longer tell if the other mods need updating or if it's just the one i downgraded to make it work. it's very tedious and annoying to have to deal with constantly especially when developing large modpacks.

A simple toggle next to each mod that can allow us to disable individual mods from updating in the instance would be AMAZING and would solve these issues! Please consider my suggestion for this it's become such a problem i've had to take a break from working on my packs because of this, it'd be really awesome if i could control what mods get updated and which don't as a modpack developer

This is... community support. For random community members to offer help fixing people's issues, not a feature request thread.

i am requesting support on this issue

It will just get buried anyways here.

timber rivet
#

and if the issue is solved would very much help the community

#

But the community can't do anything.

timber rivet
#

this isn't for the community to solve

#

this is for the modrinth team to help with

#

but as i said solving this issue would help the community

#

i don't understand why you have such an issue with this post, it's not affecting you and i don't see why you'd care so much

Community support is about asking the community for support to get something fixed, not the staff of modrinth

#

Personally I don't, I'd just like to direct you to the proper channel and explain what community support is for

They don't most of the time.

timber rivet
#

but they do at times

#

that's whats important

pallid jacinthBOT
#

Not often. Your better off using a proper channel of communication such as the github

timber rivet
#

i don't use github

pallid jacinthBOT
#

Then don't suggest it there, I'm just telling you this isn't a good place to do it.

timber rivet
#

still, it doesn't matter very much, you're just wasting our time here with this pointless argument that's done nothing to change anything. i'm requesting support hopefully from anyone in the modrinth team to look at and potentially address these issues i'm trying to bring to their attention, that is all. goodnight

ps. if you were just trying to suggest i go to github for this, there's better ways you could've gone about it if you were just upfront, instead of trying to make me question myself and getting me all defensive
