I'm stuck in the process of succeeding in logging in to my world, falling to the void as the terrain loads (picture), and finally connection lost or "failed to connect to server". Singleplayer works just fine, but I want to play multiplayer with my friends. I use Aternos as the server. I have tried restarting Aternos server and modrinth launcher mutiple times. I have tried removing with and without Optifine.

Try repairing your modpack
as optifine is the only problem and since you've removed optifine, its probably a bug and repairing it should fix it i believe.
Try using a better free host that provides more resources than aternos but still lets you do mods, since I believe this is caused by the server struggling to send you all the chunks you want in time
The best I’ve found is Falixnodes but there might be other ones out there (their timer system isn’t too bad if you have the link saved)
what modpack do they use? try using there modpack if they have a different one
Option > Repair instances ?
I ever succeded in 2 times out of like 20+ times. Successfully playing it normal (buildings, breaking blocks, crafting) with optifine. But when I logged off, and play the next day it will often do that "disconnect before terain loads" again. Its very hard to get past the "disconnect before terain loads". So does optifine need to be removed?
Ok. I'll try checking it out tommorow
So I tried to run one of my old project, its went the same. Is this a mondrinth problem or my laptop? the old project worked fine with my laptop last time (about 2-3 months if I remember correctly)
Or is it aternos? cause I could succesfully run singleplayer, and log in to the server, its just that I fall to the void as terrain doesn;t generate and disconnects
Well I guess it could be your laptop. Instead of optifine, try joining with embeddium, which is another optimization mod that is improves performance more than optifine (however it is incompatible with optifine so you'll have to remove optifine first).
Yea optifine should be removed, i don't recommend playing with OptiFine if you have more than 10 mods as OptiFine is closed sourced and modders likely doesn't know how to make optifine more compatible with their mod.
