How do I change my skin

So modrinth skips the minecraft launcher and just goes into minecraft. So I can't select my skin and I have tryed using the minecraft website to change it and it didnt work. So how can I change my skin.

use the vanilla launcher when you want to change your skin

just use minecraft.net

I have my skin set on minecraft.net it's just I can't see custom skins

use client side mod like OfflineSkins

im not sure if its on modrinth but it sure is on curseforge
