oh, so you don't have an instance yet?

#

could you explain from the beginning what you're trying to do?

#

what is the end goal here

strong garden
#

I would like to upload my modpack, but the rmpack is missing

#

sorry if i'm vain D:

hearty spindle
#

Do you have your modpack currently as an instance in the Modrinth App?

#

the screenshot you sent is to create an instance, but it sounds like you already made the modpack?

#

what are you trying to upload?

strong garden
#

yes, I put the modpack on the modrinth website but also in the apk, but unfortunately I took it back and now I'm editing the modpack, but I came to ask in advance so that I don't have to change it again

hearty spindle
#

What launcher are you using to create the modpack?

#

Modrinth App?

strong garden
#

I had a normal minecraft launcher on the testing modpack and then I put it in the app

hearty spindle
#

so you have your modpack as an instance in the Modrinth App?

strong garden
#

I don't have it because at first it didn't work because the rmpack was said to be missing and then I removed it due to editing

hearty spindle
#

I'm not sure what you mean

strong garden
#

ok i try

hearty spindle
#

You can't use the vanilla Minecraft Launcher to create .mrpacks, you need a launcher that supports Modrinth Packs to do so

#

so you will need to create your instance with one of the supported launchers (Modrinth App, Prism, MultiMC, ATLauncher) first

#

Then, when you're done with the modpack you can export it as a .mrpack file

strong garden
#

I used a normal launcher to compile the modpack

hearty spindle
#

The normal launcher cannot create Modrinth Packs (.mrpack) though

strong garden
#

but tried modrinth app on running modpack

#

wait i create it but I couldn't do it before

#

I shouldn't have put the modpack there, right?

hearty spindle
#

That is for importing .mrpacks

#

But you don't have an .mrpack yet, correct?

#

normal Minecraft Launcher does not create .mrpacks

strong garden
#

hmm

#

aha, I put the modpack in the second one

#

import from file

hearty spindle
#

You don't have a file though?

#

Can you show me the file you are trying to import?

strong garden
#

I have the instance but there is no modpack

hearty spindle
#

I'm sorry, I don't understand

#

I think the language barrier is too high

strong garden
hearty spindle
#

what type of file is this?

strong garden
#

zip

hearty spindle
#

What's inside it?

strong garden
#

mods

hearty spindle
#

it's just your mods folder?

strong garden
#

yes

#

only mods

hearty spindle
#

Ok. Create a new instance in the Modrinth App, and select the mod loader and game version you want to use

#

let me know when you have done that

strong garden
#

Yes, I have

strong garden
hearty spindle
#

Ok, now click on the instance, do you see a page that looks similar to this?

strong garden
#

yes

#

i have

hearty spindle
#

and inside it there is a folder called mods right?

strong garden
#

I put the mods in the zip and there is no back folder with mods

#

there are only mods

hearty spindle
#

Ok, click this button to open the folder for your instance

#

And take the mods out of the zip and put them in the mods folder inside your instance's folder

strong garden
#

i have

hearty spindle
#

Ok, now you should see all the mods in the Modrinth App, right?

dawn wadi
#

might need to F5 in modrinth app to force it to refresh

hearty spindle
#

Ok, try hitting Play to test it and make sure the instance works

strong garden
#

yes works

hearty spindle
#

Great, now you can use this button to export as .mrpack

strong garden
#

yes

hearty spindle
#

Now, when you upload to Modrinth.com, you need to make sure you are only using mods that are on Modrinth or that you have license or permission to redistribute

strong garden
#

good

#

thank you D:

hearty spindle
#

is that a sad face lol
