if you made a way to have sub sections to add mods to like for example you could have a section for world gen were all your world gen mods are and a section for optimization for all your optimization mods so its easier to find look through your mods. this would make it stand out better than any other minecraft launcher since no other launcher does this. and theres about 20 optimization mods you could get all at once so it would be very useful to organise mods

ye thas what am sayin
cause trying to find a mod through loads and loads is annoying
but if you had sections
then that would make life well easier
but i would like to manually organise my mods
not have it done automatically
less go i got the dev typin
you don't wait ChatGPT to generate automatic categorization for your mods with contextually assigned emojis? :p
lol
is a good idea aint it
and no other minecraft launcher has done it yet
so if you did it
it would really REALLY stand out
also i found a bug lol
you cant stop something from downloading
lol

Even just grouping library mods together would be great
exactly
is a boss idea
cause if you could organise it, it would be great cause fabrics got so many optimization mods lol and it gets annoying
ye
like folders but for mods
something like that
ye
Something else I've noticed was that resource packs are also listed with the mods, so having different groups for the mods, resource packs, and shaders would also be great
Because they're all just mashed together
it doesn't have to be ingame just for the launcher
yea you could create a folder in modrinth for that
like for example
a folder for
optimization,
wold gen,
resource packs
folders for stuff like that
Not even like folders for the different grouping of packs, mods, shaders
I meant like this: Just two more sections added to the list (excuse the poorly edited screenshot done is MS Paint lol
Maybe even one for datapacks, since I've also seen those
Huh
or like this
but instead of mods
you could have folders
and you can turn them off and on
and it turns all the mods in said folder off
so if i wanted to turn off world gen mods
its easy to do so
@sharp dew better be writing these ideas down
I mean that makes sense, that's how it is for vanilla. It's just odd that in the folder location it's there. But I'm not sure what it really does
ye
just install paxi for that
so unstable it deleted my instance
so thats when i decided to just test it and not use it for my actual minecraft instance lol
i learned that the hard way
ye
still better than gd launcher lol
cause it actually has
that's what this feedback forum is for
modrinth support
