ok before I get burnt on a stake for this, hear me out. I'm trying to find a way to get to Ulkanix so i did 2 different lines to access it (listen irl I'm shit at drawing good cards and always draw garnets or unplayable trash). So this is my personal list irl and thought I'd share it... hopefully without backlash...

Seems fairly standard, both Seventh Tachyon (although folks went further with a rank 8 package in #tachyon-theory ) and Kashtira (in #arsenal-falcon-7-axis-theory ) have been experimented with, and combining them isn't unexpected.

The only problem is that both packages make you more susceptible to turn-ending interruptions (Droll for Tachyon, Nibiru for Kashtira), which makes the deck feel very good at times and very awful at others.

#

That said, if it works for you and feels good to play, feel free to keep playing it

#

Tachyon also has some card economy considerations (using it means a hand of Tachyon, a FIRE and 3 handtraps ends on 2 Level 8s + Sanctuary and 2 handtraps in hand, which may or may not be enough to win certain matchups, but it depends on your local meta)

my biggest issue is 12 ht in 50 and the fact that both engines require specific extra deck pieces you run at 1 with extrav

tbh i really don't care if the one ofs get banished it'll just mean we go old school combo

yes but you cant really afford dead cards in a deck like this and if you draw one of your 5 tachyons off extrav theres a significant chance theyll be dead

you could honestly cut Extrav, it feels counterintuitive, but you have 17 starters now so getting to them isn't an issue, and statistically, to get access to more non-engine/handtraps off Extrav would require you to play at least 15 or more

#

That also frees up Extra Deck space for more utility

This is my quick and very rough attempt at trimming it down as close as I can to 40, I landed on 41 because I really don't want to cut Barong in this build

I also made some concessions by giving up Rangbali, 1 Sacred, 1 Arvata and 1 Kirin (someone will shoot me for this), so you can have both 15 starters and 15 handtraps - statistically this should give you a good balance of both (and in EDOPro testing I saw at least 1 starter + 1-3 handtraps in every hand across 30 or so hands)

There are probably some flaws in here but we can iterate on it and see what we can do

#

what sticks out the most to me is hands where I draw 1 of either Ulcanix/Ponix/Fenrir and 1 Tachyon at the same time, it makes Tachyon kinda dead since you have no reason to use it, but there's no way to fix that without killing the point of the deck which is running all 3 engines

oh sweet. yeah I can definitely see where you coming from with Tachyon. It was just a dumb idea to begin with having both a Tachyon AND a Kash engine in the deck. But this is really good thanks you for the idea

No worries, feel free to test it out and let me know what you think of it

#

If you end up dropping the Tachyon, you can probably put the 3 Extravs back

#

yeah I was curious what you'd do for the ED

#

either with or without Pot

#

also one thing i'd like to add about the Main Deck is I don't own any Impulse. The guys who had the money locally bought everything locally and prices online are ridiculous

2 Promethean Princess,
