Atm all nodes like wood/stone/metal etc just gets 1 shot. Our harvesting is on 2.5 which is okay for us atm, but personally I'm not liking that all nodes just get 1 shot by everything (including our tools.)

That being said. If you get a drink with high enough attack harvesting it dsnt matter really how much hp you scale up for nodes unless you completely break balance

Look under survivors. If it's not listed a few times after refreshing it might be offline

I havnt had much use with favorites sometimes they don't take for me

You can also check for the server on battle metrics searching the name of the server and see it's status if it's up or not and get a direct steam link to the server if it's up

On my current server it's 2x but with wild Dino Max lvl 300 so I might actually lower it back to 1x harvesting. Since you get almost to much tbh

Yea I see a lot of servers that have their harvesting very high. I only put the multiplier on 2.5 which I find fairly nice. Just want to check out being able to hit nodes a few more times

I definitely want to find out how to increase dino levels as well (atm ragnarok with offset on 1 and override on 5.) Which brings it to 150 and 190 wyverns I think it was? Although I do think it might be more fun to have higher dinos. I guess that means I need higher player level as well. Haven't gotten to how to do that just yet

Don't need higher player lvl tbh. I'm using offset 2.7 and override 10 atm. It'll for most Dino's to spawn it at pretty high lvls.

Well things scale. Wilds and your own. It does break balance with harvesting for sure. But it's pretty much the same except it does takes much longer to tame anything especially at lvl 300

#

And caves are alot more challenging with a bunch of lvl 800+ Dino's in it

I've put alot of hours into the game tho. Not as many as some ppl on here but enough to know I wanna make the game a tiny bit harder in that aspect anyway lol

tbh the spawns are all sorts of messed up in the water on that map. i havnt gotten to tek yet but there is pretty much nothing but meglos in the water from the 3 hours in spent in it with my andrew. and the deeper areas on the edges that are supposed to have spawns spawn 0 dinos

Hi everyone, does anyone know what is the bottleneck which causes managarm ice ray lag in a server. I cannot get rid of it in my cluster, I'm using a ryzen 3900x with 64 gigs of ram, an nvme ssd with 2GB/s of read/write, a dedicated network card (consumer, not enterprise), and running windows 10 (i'm using ASM). Also with only one map open, the server starts to lag when there are more than 10 players. I think my setup is enough to run a server with more than 10 players, or to use managarms, what do you think?

\You can actually do this via the config.bat file. Simply click "Configuration Files" > Locate config.bat & click [ Configuration Editor ] for config.bat.
In that file at the bottom you will find "Code Outline", simply enter the following: -ForceAllowCaveFlyers into the box and click "SAVE" at the top left. Restart your server and then login to the server.
You will now find that you can fly inside caves.

If it has a password click the box at the bottom for showing paswords, choose the option for unofficial servers pc, type the name of the server exactly as is including capitals and punctuation, and wait a min or two. Make sure to favorite it nd after playing on it a few times it should start automatically popping up at the top when you select join game, if it doesn't wait a bit longer for it to load favorites will always apear at the top after a moment of loading

Hey quick question for those running an unofficial on the new map. Is there anyway to disable the fjordhawk from returning certain items? I have the problem that on my unoffi server whenever I want to kill a baby dino with a dino the server briefly crashed rollbacked and is back again.
Normally the server crashes and I have to restart it myself. Likewise when I kill the dinos with admin gun it does not crash.

Howdy, do any of y'all use Gportal, if so how long does it normally take for them to repair hardware issues with a server? I've had a cluster for a few months now with no issues except for the new fjordur map I added, there's some problem with the hardware that causes it to appear online when really it's unresponsive and I'm unable to access the settings at all. I sent in a ticket, got what I assume is the typical "we'll have someone look into it, thanks" response a few hours ago, but no change

greetings! i'm very new to hosting an ark servers so I have a few questions, I and a few friends of mine have a server hosted on streamline and we were playing on the island without mods or anything just to get familiar with the game. Now, we would like to move our chars, dinos and hopefully some of our items over to Fjordur.

Questions:

1.) I am looking at the predefined commandlines at the commandline manager and I see two instances for Fjordur: one is Fjordur and one is Custom Fjordur, which one should i use? The only difference i see between their command is the addition of GameModeIds in the Custom Fjordur option.
2.) If I do run the command, what does it do exactly, will it "unload" The Island map or run it side by side?
3.) Regardless of the answer to the question above, what is generally the best step-by-step process of transferring to another map? we dont really mind not being able to go back to The Island if that is the case
4.) In addition, what do you guys recommend for server settings for a PVE group of 5~ or so people?

I'm curious if anyone has had issues with Desmodus having insane speed? I'm trying to work out which mod I have or setting I have that's broken.
I tamed a 150 desmo, perfect tamed it so 225. Base speed is 574.5% with 12 points allotted by default it appears. The only mods I have that may have an impact are Speed Saddles, but it doesn't have the speed saddle item equipped on the desmo. I also have "bAllowFlyerSpeedLeveling=true" but if I recall that's just to allow you to personally allocate new levels into speed?
I'm confused and kinda sad, he flies at creative flight speed damn near which might sound nice but it's more of a pain in the ass honestly.

With the no sessions error that happens after updates for some people. Does anyone know what the updates do to a modem that prevents anyone in the house from being able to get the list to load?
It pretty much always happens after an update, and then will start working again anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks later. Although last time, it locked me out for 2 months.
Support tickets dont help, they do the standard copy paste "we know about it" then close the ticket.

`When ports show 0/0 it is an interface that is reactive. Until the server is up, and stable it will remain 0/0. Then update correctly. As you mentioned you had a corrupted file which happens. A buddy and I would like to run our own dedicated using his spare comp. To help each other out, we've both attempted to set up the server on our computers, but have encountered the exact same issue: We can easily get the server visible on LAN, but not online. We're assuming our ISP is blocking something, so even with port forwarding, there is no connection. Websites that check ports open/close all say everything is closed, even the specific ones we listed.
Is this the right channel for something like this or do we need to find a router/ISP-specific help? 😄

Hey guys got a question. I made Fjordur my main map and then added crystals isles as a cluster but for some reason I cannot see crystal isles when selecting teleport to another world. When I connect to crystal isles from favorites and then go to an obelisk I can see fjordur in teleport to another world. Any ideas? and thanks!

shad's remaps half the shit in the game, KBD goes out of its way to make the edits as compatible and configurable as possible

Not sure how you are hosting your server but I know on a Nitrado server if you enable admin logging, it will have a section devoted to telling you who used what command
