After the big unreal engine 5.5 update every storage box on my servers are now empty. It says there are still items in them but when you open them there is nothing in them, it also deleted most of the items in my inventory. have moved sp world to dedi server but post ue5.5 there's no sp localplayer.arkprofile file anymore. Anybody know how to get a character out of sp and into dedi post-ue5.5? character data doesn't seem to be in the .ark either b/c dedi prompts to create a new character - old character not available. Anybody know where wildcard is storing the localplayer.arkprofile content post-5.5? I checked my sp backups - 10 June and prior has localplayer.arkprofile and 11 june and subsequent bu it's gone, but I can run the existing sp .ark with existing character without any probs. Also just created a rag sp world and also no localplayer.arkprofile created there either.

Anyone on pc having an issue when logging in where when you connect to an unofficial server you're stuck in place for a minute but then get kicked off with a host connection error? You have to make sure that the extra preventions are off in the Game User Settings 🙂 see if that helps any just change true to false if it isnt already otherwise I would have to dig deeper for that. There is another setting too I think but try that one first please fingers crossed!

That will force a save of the world. Then you can log out.

@brazen glen simplified: you need to port forward UDP7777 on your home router to your PC hosting the server. And you must have public IP. without that you won't be able to host the game.

I myself have a question tho. I am trying to convert client-hosted ASA to DS, but all guides i found talk about different files (localdata.arkprofile and .arktribe) however i do not have those, i only have LocalProfiles/PlayerLocalData.arkprofile.

I obviously tried to replace file created by server <steamid.arkprofile> with this PLD file (keeping the steamid filename), but that did not work AND i can't regain tribe either.

Hello, I have a question that's been bothering me. On my server, I use mods to add creatures. Some of them were later integrated into the game (e.g., Ceratosaurus, Deinosuchus, etc..).
I'm afraid that if I delete the mod from the server, the dinosaurs associated with it will disappear, even though it was integrated into the game.
My question is, can I delete the mods without it having any impact? (I'm only talking about mods that were integrated into the base game.)

as long as the dinos are in the base game the tamed ones you have should not disappear. i did this with a mod that added snow owls to my map and after i removed that mod the ones i had already didnt disappear because they already exsist in the game

Yes you can, just have to enable crossark without a cluster ID and then you can upload from your single player to the server through an obelisk or transmitter

Anyone else having saving issues on Nitrado servers? My auto saves don’t seem to be making new backups and I can’t actually tell if “cheat saveworld” is doing anything.

I’ve had to roll back three times now in the process of transferring Dino’s from the island to ragnarok. Partly because my cryopods all died in the transfer, so now trying creature transfer, but when my server should have been saving the island stuff for me to go back to and get more stuff, I’ve had to manually roll back and restart the whole process.

I’ve changed my auto save to 3 minutes on Nitrado settings, but I haven’t been able to verify it’s actually working. Nitrado doesn’t show any backups from today as of yet.

This dynamic vram thing has performance running generally worse for me after that update on unofficial and SP and I still get affected by the 2-3 fps bug/critical issue randomly. I know in the config files there are two settings, one for fliers and one that seems to be general. I don’t know if they both need to be on or not, as I haven’t tried that. Usually when I configure that, I turn them both on, so I’ve never tried just fliers.

I would check to make sure the server version is up-to-date. If the server isn’t updated to the 67, then it wouldn’t have the map yet. Current version is 67.28 I believe.

It usually takes a couple minutes to start. Also check the filter settings when browsing in-game, such as servers that use passwords, and make sure you have no other filters that would hide it. If that doesn’t work, you can check the logs to see if it is having some issue on start.

The ram is the biggest bottleneck. But with 128GB you ought to be good for 8 or 9. I can run six of them with 64 gb and still use my machine to play the game.

Right now, I'm running 2 evolved servers and three ascended servers and playing on my Ragnarok map at the same time.

I have had issue with nitrado only when I use mods I shouldnt or over load server or even using commands that will over load server other then that any issue I had with nitrado has need my fault and easy fixed so maybe check your ini files or mods that could be broken then fix it then servers runs great

Is there a known issue with Astreos and Mods currently? Trying to start Astraeos with the exact same mods that I have on all other ASA servers including Rag which is brand new... All of my servers will start with all of these mods... except Astraeos... It flatlines RAM upon start.

And I checked its not just one mod, its a few mods... one of them being Dino Depot.

Are any of you folks having a transfer bug where it's making you remake a character on transfer but giving you the items you had when transferring?

It's such an odd bug that I've never experienced before. It remembers your items but not your character. So after making a new character, 1-2 minutes later, your items re appear in your inventory/hotbar

Few things, want to see if you guys have come across them too:

1. on my dedicated cluster, transferring to another server within my cluster causes my character to lag out. Then when I go to rejoin, the servers have deleted my arkprofile files, including the profile backup. I have now had to back my character up prior to transferring every time.
2. On Ragnarok, in 3 different bases and locations out in the open(not in caves) I am unable to respawn at my beds. It will only let me spawn at spawn points
3. holding T to transfer say from my inventory to a remote inventory, like a vault, drops my fps from 70-90 down to 5-11

Also to note these issues only started after I updated to the rag patch

Yes, I am. So far what I can tell is that it's deleting the profile files and the profile backup. I have found moving them out of a backup let's me log back in in the last place I was, but then I get a discrepancy with my inventory for obvious reasons, but it's better than starting over and having to grind my progress out again and lose everything I originally had because I'm no longer the same character who was in my tribe.

Granted, as soon as I see the new character screen I immediately nope out and restore, I haven't given it the chance to drop stuff in

what I do remember as far as spawn points not allowing you to spawn on beds, is that it is "illegal" spot, like some ratholes in maps won't let you respawn on beds. Being that the map is new, it very well could be a mistake and get updated where you could spawn there.
