The recommendation for ASA is to leave Upload/Download set to False until cross-ark is securly implemented, servers have been exploited by external players when enabled. But do what you want!

Cave dinos are always higher. No way to changed it without editing the spawn containers. And editing them right now causes crashes

OK I have been pulling my hair out at this for hours now. My server worked perfect and now it times out people except 2 of us when trying to connect. I had a issue with it not listing the server at all but I looked on the Wiki for ARK server setup and they said that the first cert we had to install for windows server that fixed the issues wasn't good anymore and now we needed to install a new cert and so I did that and now my server isn't listing half the time and it times out when connecting except for two of the same people it works fine for. Am I going insane or is something wrong with the self hosted server stuff?

We have a private server and all the settings for that are set to official but things seem to grow up and hatch WAY WAY to fast to me.. and the breeding intervals are insanely quick. Yeah crossplay is enabled by default and I had it running with an Xbox player able to join, default ports I believe is 7777 and 27015 but you can also specify your own ports

I haven't had any confirmed Xbox users joining, but the username formatting is drastically different since yesterday so I assume they are Xbox users.
Default Port is 7777 and 27020.
27020 is the RCON port, if you don't know what that is leave it unforwarded.
7778 was used for Steam querying, but is not longer used.

Any idea why Xbox players aren't able to see anything in their inventory when they join the server? Works fine for PC. I am using a few mods but the only one that affects inventory is TG stacking and its cross-platform.

don't see a point in stack mods considering they have a ItemStackSizeMultiplier you can set in GUS.ini that affects anything with a stack size more than 1, and your can modify stack sizes of specific items in game.ini (ConfigOverrideItemMaxQuantity), including items with a stack size of 1. The only use for a mod like that would be modifying weight of items.

and stacking prime meat works fine....first one on the stack is the one that spoils revealing the next one on the stack to spoil

Servers require 'logging in' with the Admin Password you set by using the command
enablecheats AdminPassword
You can try just doing enablecheats since you haven't set an Admin Password, but I believe servers require one to use cheats.

Not the whitelisting but I got the admin commands working. Well DoDoMaster did most the effort. Helped me realize the bat file wasn’t properly formatted and was not recognizing the ? as the end of that statement and added everything till -nobattleeye the space being what stopped it.

I watched idk 3-5 videos and they were all pretty much the same and show to do it like that. Well no cuz it messes it all up. Don’t need the server or admin passwords in the bat file so long as they are in the appropriate ini file. Removed the passwords from the bat file and presto everything worked as I expected

DoDoMaster took just over 2 hours to help even wrote me custom game and gameusersettings ini files.

Well in case you want to do it.
in game, cheats have to be enabled, use "cheat listplayers", and copy the long ID after your player name.
make a txt file, put that ID in the file, i put mine in D:\ASAserver\ShooterGame\Saved\server\TheIsland_WP, name it what you like ex "AdminList.txt"
in GUS.ini under [ServerSettings] put a line as fallows:
AdminListURL="file://D:\ASAserver\ShooterGame\Saved\server\TheIsland_WP\AdminList.txt"

you should be able to because all of the user details are routed through EOS servers. that way they can have a global ban list that is default on the servers.

I have a question concerning Dino Loot Drops. For the dino loot drops you need a class sting, unfortunately the mod developer isn't willing to help find the class strings. They said that they might have left them in the files for the mod, but are unsure. Either way, they are unwilling to help with giving the class strings.

I was hoping that someone who is a little smarter than myself might be able to help point me in the right direction. Im looking through the mod folder, found the creature where the supposed class string is listed, but have failed to find the correct class string name.

I’m not saying it is that but it’s a possibility. You’d have to load a back up save to roll your server back. Before committing, check the size of your save file compared to the others. Don’t reload a save until you’ve exhausted all other options

Hello does someone help me with enable admin logging command on xbox series s?

My wife and i had a nitrado server with mods. she copied the gameini from our ark se server hosted also by nitrado and we are not able to use the console commands on the new server. Enablecheats + adminpasswort the admin star shows up but no commands are working like gcm,destroywilddinos etc. Also the menu says admin command logging disabled.

On singleplayer everything is fine and working

first always stop the server before making changes and it looks like you might have a corrupt arktribe save

go into your save folder and look for any arktribe files that is alot bigger then the rest of them and delete it

I’ve been playing solo Ark 1 on my X box for the last month with Winter Wonderland turned on. It’s been functioning fine until today. Now, Raptor clause doesn’t show up at midnight and it doesn’t seem like gacha clause is around, either. I’ve tried clearing out the Active Event field, loading the map, logging out, and re-entering the event code, but no luck. Any ideas what could be wrong?

SetMessageOfTheDay <message> first, then ShowMessageOfTheDay after that with no arguments as two separate commands. I struggled to get the quotes escaped properly for a bit in my batch script. Also, the first time connecting from Xbox I wasn't seeing the message of the day show up, but I think restarting the game fixed that because I now see it when logging in and when doing RCON.

2st command: Message of the day Shown
But in-game doesn't display anything

Ah.. its really a quote issue with my rcon.exe:
This fixes it: rcon.exe <myserver> "SetMessageOfTheDay Test"

Seems accepts only one argument after the server-connection.
