i have tried, when i use the correct information, it just does nothing, when i use incorrect information it comes up with a timeout error, nothing shows in the server console either
don't know if you can, all I know is the tribe data is causing the crash. if you have access to commands its easy enough to just recreate the tribe and claim all your stuff back.
make a backup tho incase its not causing it.

You probably have a random corrupt file you need to find. How I did ours was trouble shooting.
Make a backup of it all and then trial and error. Then revert to try again.
not sure, I didn't change anything and it worked when I just launched it. did you set a password? have heard issues with that and the open command

nope, no password, another thing that happens is when i use the open command and then close the server it THEN tells me joining failed hsot closed the connection but there was still not even a recognition that it was connected on the server

I tried deleting EVERY tribe.file
Rebooted saw if it worked and then if not reverted.
Tried deleting ALL the player.files

but ive also allowed 7777, 7778 and 27015
I sorted that folder π by file TYPE and worked my way through it that way

If youβre using any of the extra bootup programs that check/verify the game update just run it normally.
Saves like 5minutes per attempt haha π and then just run the program after if needed

Hey anyone who uses Nitrado servers, I have a question. If you switch over to Expert mode after you already have some progress on the server (bases built, animals tamed etc.) does it remember everything you have? Or does it wipe the server and start over?

going by the rampage in other channels, i assume its a good thing π last server update seems to have had alot of rubber banding that makes it unplayable and some were saying those patches are getting taken back π so hopefully them not pushing updates to unofficial just means that we get the more stable shit haha

TamingSpeedMultiplier=1.0 goes into the GameUserSettings.ini, i think the breeding stuff is correct in the Game.ini
Easiest is to make a singleplayer world and set all the settings you want there, then copy the two files or the settings you want over to your two server files (Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini)
this really is the best way there is a lot missing in server configs u can add to your ini just add it in single player first
i try all my changes in single player first its such a time saver

you also need the GameUserSettings.ini, not just the game.ini
i think thats the desired effect but for some reason it has the same as your log files not correctlly posting all the info

its working fine for me with the files i created in the single player, i copied the whole Game.ini and for the server i only copied the ServerSettings section from the GameUserSettings.ini
if thats now working for you, then i can't help you. Also always make sure to only change the configs on the server when it is shutdown, otherwise it could overwrite the changed settings on shutdown.
oh also all timers that have already started, will not change after the fact. so if your dino has a breeding/mating timer set for 8h, changeing the setting will not change that cooldown. it will only change future cooldowns/timers.
26.15 Still not available
the main bug it is still present since almost 2 weeks ago. If ORP is enable, users can't access their things when they connect servers (dinos, boxes, etc). So they keep reconnecting servers until they can finally have access. Idk why so much time to solve this. Wc is really kidding with us. They'll simply keep loosing players day by day.
i look at it this way yes a lot of reoccuring bugs from the first game have returned but the good thing is developers already know how to fix they just need to code for this release the patches nothing major new has come along so in a quick timescale we should be good again
I do not really believe that. They're being slow as fuck to deliver really useful updates. At least until now. That's why ASA probably has the record for the steam game with most people asking for a refundπ

I just bought the game because i host servers since ASE release. With ASE release, i remember that i played like 24h without stopping... with ASA release, i simply created the servers, connected and instantly got bored xD So yeah, probably i will only get addicted again when ARK2 releases...

You can still use ASM (not working 100%), just edit the config with ASA appids and new binary name.

Full imprints in 1-2 hours roughly
BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=4
goes in game.ini
Scales the percentage each imprint provides. For example, if an imprint usually give 10%, setting this multiplier to 0.5 means they would now give 5% each. While setting it to 2.0 means they would now give 20% each, etc. This multiplier is global, meaning it will affect the imprinting progression of every species.
if you make it 10, you will need one imprint to complete if 5 you will need 2 etc

I agree, I think alot of people rushed to get their character and a few dinos maxed out asap and are now waiting for the other maps, so many people were used to their clusters and having constant environment changes at a whim. I personally never hard core played, so im enjoying myself doing stuff I never have and even using mods for the first time. (mainly QOL mods) I am learning to dev in UE5 and playing the game is showing me great ways to utilize systems and ways to tweak those systems that don't work the best. It's been great. I also already plan to buy and setup a server for my own clusters just because.
I would say that the properties for the drop is over riding the max you created. I would think the cap you created is only for crafted.
what you mean that 714 counts ?
blueprint crafts and regular crafts are different, you would need to try to figure out how to change the cap for blueprints themselves. I think it overcapped the max you set.
Honestly, have someone shoot you or have dinos attack you and see how the durability works. If you get them below your maxxed cap, then try to repair them, see if they only repair to the cap.
anyone had any issues with carrying structures with the Rhynio on ASA? My ded server is having a seizure when I try carrying something

No lie I opened a server with official XP rates two days ago and there are people nearing the cap already and have tons of tames, like, I don't understand when they sleep.
My buddy only ever carried a vault, and it did it just fine, didnh't know it carried other stuff
kk, my vault is warping all over the place and is invisible on the rhynio. This also makes it impossible to place down, and the rhynio cant land ever. Really strange

This should be more apparent to me, but I'm struggling to turn up a consistent answer so hopefully one of you fine people can help - if I set up custom drops in ASA (I'm using Beacon to do this), will the SupplyCrateLootQualityMultiplier alter these at all, or are custom drops in the ini absolute?

It is only a minor patch. Only major patch we got was 26.2
It's more the fact that WC announces a patch for PC then does not give it to half of the PC community and says nothing about it

my friend had the same thing in the redwoods like if the vault was bounded to a area or someting and as soon as he goes out of that area the vault got resetted to the pickup place.

strange. In my case the vault was hoovering in the air, and nothing I did could make it drop or make the rhynia drop it. Couldnt land or anything. I ended up removing the resin in his inventory, and then everything just poofed, no bag or anything π

if its not the server that you are reinstalling windows on then yes you will have the same character as that is tied to your account and not your computer

Can I change the load order of the mods on my server through ftp settings. Every time I try it through the curseforge mod page on nitrado it just randomizes the order.

Mod order should almost never matter. The things that make it matter are either because the mod was designed around them, or the modder just doesn't know any better.

I started hearing people's microphone's going off in game. Someone in the server discord said they experience the same thing and believe it is to do with when individuals are running bosses that sometimes the microphone audio gets fed to other people around the map. Anyone having an issue adding a password to their server? I am hosting on my PC and when I dont have the password argument the game loads fine for all of my friends internal/external to my network. However because of randos dropping in I am trying to set a password and adding it to either the batch or the GameUserSettings.ini or both results in a black screen loading in with no log of the connection on my server console. Remove the argument game plays like normal and I see the IP's connecting in the server console. Weirdest thing.
Is there a way to ban players from a dedicated server outside of using the main server ban list url from Ark? We have some players banned on our ASE cluster we want to make sure are banned on ASA.

when its a "minor" patch itll be compatible, only when its a "major" patch will you need to update both
and typically major will have an increase on the first number
That's an assumption. breaking changes over several versions can develop when you don't update a branch people depend on

you should probably put a ticket in with nitrado support. even if other people are having the same issues, tickets help them track things
Yeah I will and I'll try adding meat to its inventory but it's wild dinos now dropping them and my tribe mates as well and he's not even using a ovi he just never sees any. Last week I was finding them in the wild and around my base then it just stopped a few days before getting a ovi.
I've also tried to use a mod that has a machine to pick the eggs up but that didn't work either

All there is in nitrado is a list of the mod IDs on the page you select mods and changing the order of them doesn't do anything
It always resets it to whatever order it wants.

voice isn't causing your server to crash, you're hearing everyones voice because the game is no longer sending the positions to the voice component so everyone hears voip in those small moments

In Game.ini set BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=25
Any value above 25 shouldn't do anything differently as the lowest percentage per imprint is Gigas with 4%, so increasing it by a factor of 25 should make all tames get max imprint off of a single imprint interaction

Yeah the latest client update introduced a micro rubberbanding issue and the fix is implemented serverside but only on official servers for whatever reason

I think it's also tied to that value as well as the imprint interval multiplier values so maybe try messing around with all of those to see if it is any better

yeah I must admit , even with 70 players on at its peak a lot of the performance issues officials seem to have that require the patches we are just not seeing but then I made sure the PC running the server and only the server has a 6 Core R5 3600 and 32GB ram and NVME drive not something nitrado could afford to do and make any profit lol. Most people self hosting wont be throwing up the servers on the absolute bare minimum of specs becuase they dont have a profit margin to look out for

The server peaks at around 14GB usage , I should be able to run 2 servers on that box when clustering (if) becomes available to self hosting. There is absolutely no way Nitrado is allowing the server to use what it wants I bet its all 6-8GB limited Virtuals

with only me on the server with 8 ping it is pretty severe rubber banding.
My upload is not great, only about 10MB/s but I haven't had this issue with 5 people on before now

Kernel32.dll has a request given to it by the game that required it to access something in Ram at the address given above (the 0x000 gibberish) but it could not access it so it got stuck and crashed. It happens , its not fatal just reload the game. These issues will calm down as more patches fixing the memory issues release.

Servers and Clients were far more unstable at launch. the updates we've gotten so far have drastically increased stability and performance. That isn't to say it still needs work, of course it does, but the workload they have on their back right now is crazy.

- Dedicated Server issues
- Generally improve performance
Whilst they're trying their best to get the Console released sorted and through Microsoft and Sony.

Sounds right for my server. There is currently an issue where trees, foliage and rocks appear to respawn very close/inside structures when logging in, but it disappears after a few seconds.

I'm having some trouble setting up a dedicated server on a win10 vm on ubuntu server. Ports are definitely forwarded, tested with a python program and canyouseeme. I'm running it on 0.0.0.0 (tried localhost & local ip), port 27015, query port 27016. Trying to find the game in Steam Game Servers says "Did not find any servers at that address". Any ideas?

For the memory leak it could be a combination of things. Could be number of players, could be a specific mod or setting or could be a specific thing the players are doing. I haven't hit it yet as it's only my daughter and I playing on a server. If I get a leak I'll see about getting a memory dump and then figuring out what is leaking and reporting it.
If there are any devs here with servers reproducing this issue you should be able to get a dump and analyze it, either using something like WinDbg or Visual Studio. Luckily for us WC is giving us the symbol/pdb files so you can get a lot better information for figuring out what's leaking.
Again, if I can repro this I'll try to get the data to WC so they can fix it. Assuming they don't already have the data.
And by "devs" I mean non WC devs who know what I'm talking about. LOL Or even someone with a bit more technical expertise with code.

We're swithing off of Nitrado soon to see if we can solve any of our issues cause about half of our 'crashes' is literally just nitrado stopping the server for no apparent reason.

Nitrado definitely isn't the only host...just the only one that will setup the ASA server for you and rent you the server. I think you'll have better luck on a different host but it's more work to get it running.
Same for now mine is in a windows VM, will move it to Linux if they release the Linux binaries

Because better management means less resources. Means Nitrado canβt justify requiring min 20 seat server. That means less money per server.
I doubt it will be lowered more than 2 slots potentially from the current updates if it even does at all.

Unfortunately, I feel like 20 slots minimum will be the final number until Nitrado loses its exclusivity in 3 years and can't price gouge people anymore due to other providers being able to provide the same services but for less.
I've seen the Unofficial Steam DB get updated countless times since the last patch for unofficial, and it always correlated to a new unofficial server update prior to being stuck on 26.11.

Game roughly looks the same from what I can tell without the major draw they take. Also turn off interactive water/foliage (pretty big fps sink for only seeing like 5% of the interactions or less).

Because I've had very few crashes outside of the first 2-3 days of ASA with these new patches/changes/fixes/etc. If I change Effects to High/Epic from low, or vice versa, I would eventually 100% get a CTD/error code.
I honestly can't tell the difference on 1440p with effects being on either setting, but obviously low gives much better fps. Foliage is the ground clutter slider from ASE, more or less.
So I just have it to low, which is still far more than ASE had for minimum value.
Without the ground looking completely empty/barren/bland
I know DXGI error is a UE5 5.2 common error but many developers were able to fix it on the back end.

Allegedly for some people, turning off Menu Transitions in the settings fixed the issue for the inventory crashing. But it didn't work for everybody, so no guarantee.

I always have it off by default because I hate the wasted time on going through all the inventories of things since I spam/check stuf a lot of the time.
I also force ASA to run max performance + specifically select my GPU (3080 Ti) in Nvidia Control Panel for ASA itself.
Reducing global illumination and disabling menu transitions increased my fps a ton

Use a whip or just punch and aim at the floor just under them. It will bring them back down. Its a visual bug but they are still there, may notice you get interference when walking in the area underneath them
we paid the game, why arent we getting the same updates.
This is at 1440p resolution. 80 on resolution slider, not 100. 100 compared to 80 is barely noticeable with side-by-side screenshots, so I just leave it at 80 for the fps increase + use Nvidia sharpening at 25-33% to get crisper image without the big fps dip from 100 resolution.

Yeah, not really sure. I had inventory crashes within first 2-3 days of ASA launch, but nothing since. Only crashes I've had since are when tabbing to different program when loading into game/server, or when switching certain graphical settings to higher value.

OverrideOfficialDifficulty is all you need to set...I have mine set to 6.0 for 180 max level

The difficulty level won't effect your supply drop loots. ASA has better loot in drops.
Loot in ASA is actually worth going for now, unlike ASE.
I'm using the default supply crate multiplier after messing with higher numbers...don't need higher with the loot in supply drops on ASA

I have my server capped at 32GB of memory. If it tries to go over it gets OOM reaped and restarted. But my server is just for a small group of friends.
