Open-world PVP in shard pit will be great fun. Allowing 1 tribe to dominate the only major element resource is gonna kill off fjordur. We're scraping by with a pair of ele gachas... can barely afford to make a crop plot. The main tribe is rocking skiffs in every pocket 🤣

Change 6x dmg in fjordur biomes green,blue and red. Biomes are whole 6xdmg which making most of plato bases cliffplatform bases and rathole just to easy to rush with bats and rockets making smaller tribes impossible to survive @wide wren

usually a tamed carbo at 150 will see 30-45 points in hp with high 40s being what you want

That defeats the whole purpose of pvp though, if you couldn’t then absolutely everybody could get element. I feel like part of the pvp especially early game is getting the jump on the server and locking down key areas and outplaying other tribes

Outplaying other tribes on small tribes steam acc shares everywhere xD. Hardest part is getting replicator and after that you can cap all turrets and block everything, just make it not buildable, there is enough tribes on server we can pvp for element without fighting alphas that have 100 turrets in shard cave

It doesn’t defeat the purpose of pvp at all on top of that element being controlled by one tribe gives them higher power then everyone in a multitude of ways that basically turns it into a fight against god your capacity to farm defend your base and to do practically anything with element or tek is exponentially more then primitive players

We are not on Island map when game release , this map almost like genesis 2 comparing to element would be better if everyone can have access like all other maps

It’s similar to gen 1 but with less capacity that being said to farm 300-600 element say every 30 minutes without needing to farm any tributes or needing to put any work in whatsoever besides getting the necessary tames and doing the run itself is extremely good

Hey, I got a dumb question. I'm fairly new to the game, but the PVP aspect looks interesting.

How.... light hearted is it, so to speak? When I do PVP in survival games like this, I like to have fun with it. Overly elaborate schemes, team ups, "hostages", still trying to build a nice place... y'know. Keep it all in good fun. Is it like that, or is it just a constant battle fest?

I'm really new, only just unlocking crossbows on my first playthrough.

I recently noticed in the Ark Official Discord that PC Small Tribes gained a couple more Fjordur servers. I wanted to suggest this same change for PlayStation and Xbox. There are tons of people who missed the Fjordur launch and started late but we’re/are unable to catch up to those tribes who started on launch. The servers are very full and all the cool spots are taken leaving those who missed the launch behind. Considering that this is the last map for Ark 1, it is also the VERY LAST time for new tribes to get established on Small Tribes Servers on an even playing field, without getting destroyed by the larger and older tribes from the main cluster. Fjordur is truly an amazing map and giving those people who missed launch a chance to give Small Tribes a go one last time would be truly a great final gift from Wildcard for Ark 1.

If it’s an auto turret than no. It most likely won’t cover your base from all directions so it will end up getting LOS’d and it can be easily soaked by anything/ran by prim flak

And I’m aware you said unprepared and you don’t have to be prepared whatsoever to get around 1 turret

In pvp you arent exactly safe unless you have at least 80-100 heavies/teks if your in a cave with an active tribe, if your a solo then like 10-15 heavies if you’re in a broken rat hole

No point in even trying man. They pretty much have 0 care for the pvp community, which is mainly because the pve community is way bigger so they obviously are gonna cater as much as they possibly can to them which is why they put more effort into map design and stuff like that. It makes them more money, which is sad because the pvp community in turn is just forgotten about most of the time. Stuff like aim botting and meshing will continue to run rampant, and more unbalanced pvp items and dinos and base spots will continue to be added to the game, and unbalanced map design
