You can get pocket giged by a dreadmare anyway

they could even make an uncryo debuff that is ridiculous (like 60 seconds) and make it apply if you uncryo out of fridge range. It would immediately improve the game. Cryofridges are such a hassle if your just scouting servers or popping over to quickly grab an artifact/do a quick farm.

The ark files need 5-10x space depending on the update to unpack while installing. I.e. a 25gb download will unpack to 150gb+ while installing and then once complete will size down to the original file size.

yutys are really important aswell as basilisks poison and lightning wyverns pyro manes thylas theris

That's why I like unofficials better. At least cheaters get dealt with. Sometimes broken tames get balanced better too. But the pop is often lower, can get a little stale especially on a long wipe or no wipe.

People have only been meshed a few times on the cluster I play and admins either restored the backup or let the tribe that got meshed access the backup to get their shit back.

Unfortunately the mix of tames, breeding, building, multiplayer etc on Ark makes the game a highly desirable one with a very unique feel. It's basically an amazing game concept with no real competitors providing us with a alternative option that scratches the same itch. It's primary reason the games doing so well despite the poor implementation for the game mechanics. As a result the games going to keep going strong until some real competitors step into the ring or the devs brick the game entirely. (Imagine aquatica situation with no method to roll it back)

Mixing Tek and metal provides extra support and is stronger than just metal, if you do just Tek your base is weaker to Tek saddles and rifles, but if you mix metal in it’s kinda best of both worlds

PVP sortof: I have a 4-man tribe on unofficials on psn, and a random player with game name "EvasiveTroll" and PSN name Sivevea joined our tribe, claimed babies from the gestation chamber, and took them to random places to starve; destroyed our biogrinder; and destroyed a bunch of metal walls, doors, etc.

Our admin was on chat but on a different server in the cluster at the time and therefore could not have accidentally invited this person or kick them yet (who, by the name, is clearly up to no good for sport). We have since kicked and upgraded all real tribe members to admin status and set what we can to admin-only. But this doesn't prevent certain amounts of damage being done if this happens again, such as theft, starving, disabling power, etc.

How the hell did this guy join us? and more importantly, any way of preventing it in the future?
(Note: we have no known access to the server owner, they are afk/unannounced so can't report it to them... been here a month with no contact info)

We have now lost three bases because of this. Three. All because there is no proper response to reports and no effective moderation. This is beyond frustrating — it feels like nobody is actually paying attention or taking responsibility.

Usual reasons for banning on unofficial are if you are only hitting players that are offline if ORP is turned off, hitting the same target repeatedly on a regular basis, only targeting players in early game so they can't build up and going overboard with the raids so you leave it a empty shell. People tend to do what they want on PvP with the excuse "It's just PvP" but if your no fun to play with on unofficial and causing numerous people to quit chances are you are going to get banned. I won't deny what you said might be true but people tend to put themselves in the best light and others in the worst in these scenarios.

Well as of this morning the entire server has been shut down. So while I appreciate ofc that ppl try and make themselves out to be in a more positive light, we were playing with our kids (one of them had a goal of just taming all the cute things) and helped several Bobs out of tight spots.

That said, a few days back we found a base that had clipped out of the map using a log; it was Friday night, so generally prime-time for playing. We raided the entrance of the cave base, which was well defended, with our dinos, all legit. Then once we were inside we kept seeing dino tails swinging through the ceiling as well as a giant set of teeth. Upon investigating, we walked up a log that was touching the cave roof, and low and behold, an entire base setup was in the "void" outside the map in the roof of the cave. We looted this area out, not feeling guilty in the slightest about looting a person's building outside of the map... and ofc yesterday, the ban hammer; and today, the server was deleted. Sooooo... I'm guessing that was the admin's hidey-hole that we weren't supposed to find, and they got super mad and crashed out hard.

Ya, I know you're right. As I said we were playing with our kids, got the spark to start playing, and just jumped into a server on their spring break that had some players, was near day 1, and not a massive gauntlet of rules or applications to go through to just play (We've been in servers with overbearing admins and so many rules that you have no idea if you're breaking one just by going outside your door, and drama llamas abounding)... the whole thing was just kind of a kick in the pants out of nowhere. It soak a little less than a stego but have more HP, can't take cake thoo. So the soaking isn't that bad but like just use stego and dread.
For the dps it don't realy have a lot, it have way less damage than a giga for exemple or theri. I mean sure it can rage the giga but like youpi another dino that counter the giga. It also knockback so another dino that counter the rhino too.

For the buff, cuz yea you can give your buff to ally, it give 10% more melee, 8% resistance (yea only 8) and some speed for 30s

So for pvp its not bad, but there is not situation where you will use it excepte for fun

That solid progess most beginners wont touch turrets that fast but 4 turrets dont stop a raid at all get heavy turrets each one needs atleast 4k bullets hide the generator well thats the first thing they look for hide a couple of onycs in ur base reach 15+ turrets full metal base upgrade to tek asap stash gear everywhere get riot gear and shotguns asap never keep rverythigng in ur base upload ur gear farm on other servers

Dont trust friendly people they are scouting ur defenses and will return later with their tribe
