@wide wren you should consider converting a couple empty pvp servers into orp servers. You currently have over 50+ island servers with zero pop literally zero. Give us a cluster and people like me with jobs would keep that server populated. Hell make the orp servers cost 5 bucks like you did with the pyromane. We've been asking for crossarks also and had no luck... After months of asking finally got a response from dollie saying she's acknowledged us but they don't have any plans for it yet ...I've stated multiple times in my posts about these isolateds (which I'm currently playing on) are pointless aswell as these modded servers having 0 pop 95% of the time. I said just add crossarks of turn the isolateds into crossarks but they just don't care

Yea you could transfer from center/Island to se and vice versa but you couldn't go from center to island or island to island center to center ect ect it wasn't a full cluster untill Thanksgiving of 2016

Remove the p2w (we are already paying for the game itself, and you’re probably making enough money from the skins—you don’t need more).

Revert the cryo changes and bring back the cryos from ase.

Give us an easier/faster way to destroy tek structures/spam (arthros or 40 C4 for one structure isn’t an easy/fast way), and don’t come up with the idea of bringing back meks as they were in ase.

Also nerf the hell out of the HP/resistance of rhynios—they are just broken.

Your dev support has improved, and you’re trying to balance the cave meta, but that’s simply not enough if you’re adding things at the same time that are just completely d*mb.

on the ORP cluster, the larger tribes were always fighting more between each other than the smaller tribes, so I'd expect that given the opportunity they would rather fight enemies that can actually challenge their position than bully smaller tribes which they can do in between the raid intervals anyways

additionally, if you can't hold your base for one hour + ORP timer, then you deserve to be wiped. It's a PVP cluster after all

In anyway ppl play ORP so they have there base protection when they are not online. That's my point if you do one hour every week then all small tribes will be wiped and eventually cluster will be empty of new ppl

Not really true, I think you underestimate how many people will be forced to defend their base which actually inhibits the alpha tribes more. The top tribes of CA6 had bases on every map which allowed them to fob other bases much easier, but with a guaranteed raid interval they would be forced to take these bases off map since they simply won't be able to defend their bases on 5+ servers at the same time.

and yeah, the CA6 and CA5 dynamic was a bit different from what I've heard. In CA5 I think it was much less competitive since there wasn't multiple alpha tribes competing with each other, but that was the case for CA6. Still, I think either way the raid interval will be able to actually make the cluster more competitive.

Again, I think you are not considering the fact that the one hour raid interval leaves EVERYONE vulnerable. If one tribe is committing too much resources to attack another tribe, this will leave them susceptible to be attacked from other tribes. This will allow for smaller tribes to band up together to attack the bigger tribes while the alphas are focusing on wiping one tribe.

This style of PVP actually suits smaller tribes better considering the fact that normally it is harder for a group of small tribes to tribe together to raid from one base since a larger tribe will generally just stomp them since they have superior lines and gear, and are more use to working together because they are all from the same tribe. Whereas in this system, it allows for the smaller tribes to make a coordinated effort to attack multiple alpha tribe bases at the same time, both splitting the alpha tribes numbers and superior communication.

In my experience, a one hour raid interval on some sort of schedule would be a boon for an ORP cluster(if they release one), but everyone has their own opinions.

That only affects the bases that can be affected by titans(so most good spots it doesn't matter at all). Additionally the bases that can be hurt by titans enough heavies+teks will shred them. Also, you have to consider that yes people will known when to tame them for the upcoming raid interval, but people will also known when to counter them. Smaller tribes can easily defend again a downloading titan if they anticipate it and take advantage of the damage multiplier against titans while they are being downloaded.

Tropeos, astrodelphis, lightning wyvern, griffin with sniper all shred titans while they are being downloaded, and smaller tribes will be able to station people around obelisks in preparation for a potential download.

The vast majority of bases are not even reachable with a titanasaur. This is a very niche argument that can be easily countered by simply putting your base not on the ground or in a cave.

There’s some center ratholes that fit no tames inside, those are the ones to build in. Get a load of heavys and it won’t really matter if people find you they can’t rocket run 80 heavys on a crouch point

When you’re farming for a base you’re better off you and your friends upload the best stuff before you get off and keep piling up until you have like 20 heavy then you can move into a crouch rathole

Uploading goods, treasure chests if you have tall tales, spare vaults in hard to access places that may be overlooked, plant pots are great for covering up bases with natural looking foliage, but that also requires tall tales

Depends on the map you’re on; generally areas with a lot of heavy foliage and cover are better for hiding, provided you don’t chop everything down or have a lot of re-fertilizer

For farming, your best bet is to tame up specific dinos for specific goods

Probably should just pay whoever owns one or raid them. It's scorched maybe offer them a metric ton of silica, or farm them a boss fight worth of wyvern talons, pre crafted heavy turrets or ARB to drag your unconcious body to the note. Granted there is always the risk of them doublecrossing the deal, but that's with all trades in ark. And a boss fight of tributes is a very good deal for them. Maybe offer for example all of the poison and lightning talons in advance with the promise of the fire afterwards. All of those caves are probably taken. I mean biggest cave for breeding on scorched on the best element map in the game currently with your own bossfight OB right out front.

You have to be able to walk in or crouch in the entrance or fly in with a tek suit. If you can't access without KO or zipline, climbing picks, mounting a chair or dino or ladder it is bannable on official. if you can see open mesh or any mesh hole in the rathole it is bannable.

Only certain ratholes, they definitely aren’t trying to remove them. Some ratholes when se dropped couldn’t spawn with beds now you can if they were really trying to get rid of ratholes they wouldn’t make intentional ones and buff them where you could spawn on bed. If you're into farming blueprints get a pyro and go to snow cave on island. I had a lv 116 character and went to lv132 in under a week just running through cave killing bears and wolfs while collecting weapons and bps. My pyromane stats were 15-20k hp and 800-1000 dmg. It's not the fastest way to get levels but at least you're farming other things while getting levels

Work your way from the start of the cave to the end, forgot to mention you need to eat rare flowers while inside the snow cave. Purlovias will dismount you if you don't eat rare flowers. (1 rare flower =10 second buff so 200 rare flowers should be enough to run in and out)

Wildcard developers I have a suggestion, something I hope you take into consideration of implementing into Asa, I have talked to a lot of players about Asa and I have heard a common response. “IT DOESN’T FEEL LIKE ARK” and I have to agree with the new game it looks great, it performs okay and it certainly preforms better than ASE when it launched. However the graphics people have told me is a big shut off. My suggestion is to add a texture pack in Asa for use to have the option to have the old graphics, with still keeping the same mechanics that Asa brought along. Now obviously this texture pack would provide no PvP advantage, but make the game feel more ark like. And as-well this texture pack couldn’t be free you would have to pay employees to make it work for all maps. Which would cost us. Just a consideration.

I’m a firm believer that wildcard isn’t a bad studio just horrible ideas and poor execution. Nothing would make me more happy to see snail games go bankrupt, and some game publishers who really cares buy the game.

Now I’m no computer science major, or some coding video game creator geek, I just play video games and in joy playing them. But I’ve personally never been able to understand how wildcard can’t fix meshing. In rust if a player is under the mesh they are instantly kicked from the server and are banned almost instantly, as well as even if they manage to get some loop hole around that you are unable to dmg any structure from underneath that. I don’t understand why they can’t take inspiration from that. Or but a natural death barrier underneath the hole map. But make sure to use a fine bush to make sure it’s not anti meshing people from above. And only let anti meshing work if the center of the player is under the barrier.

well you see. They fixed a lot of 'mesh methods' and figured they made the game unbalanced against meshers and so gave them straight up quetzal sized mesh holes to mesh with.

No I totally agree with you on that. I’m simply saying the coding is out there and there is definitely a solution. I just feel like the wildcard devs a focusing more on pve than pve with this new ark. Exactly that PvP is a larger community in the game.

Day 84 of asking to release the official offline raid protection cluster on ASA. Many players still want it to be released and all that's needed is 3 servers total for center, island, and scorched earth. I have had no issues with ASA PVP.. You have to be illogical to be on the side of asking for a refund. This game is actually really good. All of us on unofficial are having a blast with minorly modded servers. Don’t let the Debbie Downers get you focused on why they can’t PVP with their technical excuses.
