@vapid abyss Hello, I am sending a message here to ask for the potential return of ORP servers. I am aware that you are messaged a lot about this topic but I just wanted to raise some points here in the hope you can see things from my perspective.
Firstly, I feel as though the mode (ORP) was not known enough through the community to actually decide on its popularity. I have played and met a lot of people through this amazing game, and most that you inform of this mode are actually not aware of its existence rather than having an opinion on it. I fear the judgement of ORP can be viewed as harsh because it has not, in my opinion, been released to the community in a way where the main core community can ingest it and see for themselves. If it were to be presented on the main stage in an update, I feel this would be very different.
Secondly, I would like to also state that this mode allowed me to progress much further than ever before, which went hand in hand with the addictiveness for the game. I have a busy work schedule (like most), and look after my two daughters as a single parent. The mode allowed me to have a break from this and allowed me to balance all areas of my life together. I would not consider myself a ‘high-level’ player, but I still played a considerable amount on these ORP servers because they allowed the slow progression while attending to life’s needs. This is, I feel a key area that many people are missing currently about ARK, and why I feel these servers could very much become popular again amongst the ‘medium skill level but still play daily’ ARK player. i recomend story play over a basic play too easy using cross map supplys and carrys

You’re in for an immense amount of suffering, I’d suggest buddying up with a tribe through a discord server or something otherwise you’re going to get spawn killed into oblivion. My advice if you’re brand new to Ark is play single player or PvE until you get a good handle on things, do some research and tribe searching before PvP.

What’s the deal with the cryo pod bs man like why did y’all make it so if I’m defending my base I can’t throw a cryo out to defend the fridge things what ever but I have a fridge in range it shouldn’t matter whether or not on PvP servers if an enemy is nearby the enemy nearby is the point, your taking the ability to defend your base away and making PvP the most stale it’s ever been like what even is ark anymore if you want the game full pve just turn off PvP servers there’s no way the community has voted on these changes let alone the OG players from the ase community, so what is this implementation your making online raiding nearly impossible and online defending nearly impossible

1. Wipes

It caused several established paying game players to be forced to start again on a server that's got serval more days and an advantage over us.
