your turrets shouldnt be on a destroyable structure. a speed run should only be destroying 1 turret at a time on the perma structure.

you can fit a good 400-500 turrets from entrance to pve shit in hard. my build even has genny on opposite side of the U so good luck running through 300 turrets to get to the gen lol.

i recommend single doorways, it does block turrets los more but a stego falls into it and body hangs at bottom so turrets can still see it. then you dont need beartraps, as its then impossible for a dino to ever move around, has more hp than pillars. they can only go down once they drop. double doors with railings reduces your structure hp to pillar level so its not much difference than pillars then beyond just giving more LOS, but its also more toxic to build and uses up more structure count (which can be an issue for say carno)

overall way less structure lag with the single door approach and simpler to finish the build

using horizontal pillar beams is really bad overall as you then need to spam beartraps, but then they can just blow the beartraps up on the first stego drop then the next one will likely be able to just freely walk on the roof to move into the center to try to drop down to the gen then.

Land bases are also easy to soak and drop which means you would need to be on 24/7 and worry about your babies getting sniped, in my opinion just change cryos back to old school or at least give them a buff where it makes it possible to raid caves

before you could blow many turrets at a time with a rocket run. Get a wall, get a hatchframe or whatever. Now you have to run up to a single turret and blow that. and many of the turrets are not even able to get blown by rocket runs

Turret placement is good imo, because at the end of evolved you couldn’t be off for more than 1 hour without getting offlined, now it’s to hard to raid and the 2 changes that make raiding harder is turret placements and cryos. They should only change 1 of those if anything to make caves where you can be off for more than an hour

Except the fact the majjority of real players worth anything to raid didnt combat log, they stayed online to fight cuz thats the whole point of ORP to actually fight and raid people who are online to fight. Plus on ORP servers you were able to find the weak points in peoples bases while they were offline so if someone did combat log off you had 15 minutes to exploit that weakness. We orp players were excellent raiders able to really make use of the free 15 minute timer and get in and get out with everything of value. I also am in LE....well cprrections officer and work 12-16 hours a day so theres just not a chance to be anything more than a beach bob everytime i play no matter how "gud" I git.

Theres alot less greifing on ORP servers than on smalls and regular pvp servers, not to mention less cheating. Is there cheats and griefers absolutely but very minimal if we are comparing. The biggest thing we faced were assholes who liked to exploit the pin code and build in a cave and cover the entrance with an alt tribe and then set a pin and have the main tribe build behind it.

Toxicity is everywhere in these types of games but we were an isolated cluster so that means we didnt have the mega tribes and vast traffic that the main server groups had and being ORP we didnt have the major population that smalls and regular servers had so comparing ca6 and ca5 to the rest there were alot less instances of griefing and hackers/duping but it did happen. Its just that as a closer knit cluster where everyone knew everyone it seemed like alot but it wasnt in comparison.

Our ORP clusters were unique in the way the politics and wars played out. We didnt have thousands of servers to travel to to rebuild or hide or launch raids from. We had 1 server of each map for each cluster, even ca5 was different than ca6. I loved it which is why i enjoyed being a Beta player and not an alpha and enjoyed the challenge of surviving and staying neutral as much ass possible to survive, while being helpful to new players to the cluster.

I imagine the hardcore servers were equally unique in the way things were played which is why im all for the hardcore players to get those types of servers as well.

Here for another daily complaint about how bad this game is and the fact that wild card is 1). Not fixing the mesh holes around island, official PvP servers are cooked there’s copious mesh holes although out the ocean and cave systems, it’s substantially worse then ASE ever was. 2) the lack of content being released is WILD , relying on modders to save ark is absolutely embarrassing, 3) wth is the dev team spending there time on?
Still haven’t released transfers for dedis where ark is the only playable place right now for the PvP community because of the insane amount of cheating happening on the official clusters.
Wild card y’all really need to pull your heads outta your behinds, 4) you released a game to a platform made sales and then pulled it from official because you again failed on a promise of anti cheat when there was none. There has not been any upgrade to anti cheat from ASE all you’ve done is scammed people out of there money Win 10 there are honest players on Win 10 wondering wtf,
