Often times servers request you not build in locations that require a spider or a chair or zip line to get into. Because if somebody tries to raid you they cant place structures to raid you so it's not fair.

Depending on the map I prefer a base that's just never found over building turrets until Im blue I the face. However often with rat holes you are limited to be unable to breed or store tames without cryo so u can heal them after a fight without somebody killing them or taking them away.

Bug or Quetzal (pick and put into a box with aggro Giga or Thyla or similar). High tek turrets. Thyla. Chain bola. Carcha tail whip. Bronto or Diplo knock back. Weight grapple stego so it can't pull out while it's health gets low. Change turret settings to medium or low to bait the stego and rex in, then change back to high so rex rider gets blasted (or stego rider gets splashed by teks). Narc nades. Grapple riders off the rex (can't grapple off stego). Comp bow the rex (slow). Bite with Giga or stacked carcha.

If it’s the ocean rathole, you could also swim through with the diplocaulus. But on official If you get reported you will get devwiped, getting banned is fake news only when you keep rebuilding, then you a ban.

I would not play with turret settings as much, but make sure you have a lot of high teks on mesh (literally just place them upside down on the ceiling). Keep refilling them.

Bear traps or railings on the ground so the stegos can't rocket rush the wall. Narc nades. Try to have a bleeder, and see if you can weight grapple the stegos so they get stuck in the hole, so they can't leave and so the Tek rex can't get an angle.

While you're doing all this, you should also be figuring out how you're going to get outside to push the fob, because you have a whole base and they only have a little fob. If they're defending the fob they are not pushing the wall, so you want to move the fight.

Yea, the answer is raid like we always have. Soak and Push. Once you gain some foundation control you will be able to get some cryo fridges down and push further. Not everything can be cheesed with a titan rush or cryos.

what I would do is put high teks/heavies, and honestly if they're really high up? you can put them on players only

they can't get the carbo up to bomb them with c4 if they're high enough up

youll just wind up with a bunch of carbos swimming around in the entrance, not soaking but not doing anything

(obviously depending on the entrance, but I don't think any of them have entrances where you can just walk a carbo in)

all you really need is 1-2 heavy turrets on tames tbh

Like is this the natural way that fight would go or could I have somehow fought better? The Rex can’t defend the rider against an argen or even a pterodactyl? With an argy you'll want to pike the rider thru the bird (and spec melee), the Argy has a ton of health. If they pick with a pt, you'll kill the bird first.

I guess specifically what i@ wondering tho is the game feels oddly balanced to me, I would think someone who tames a Rex, giga, or carcha, can take a simple guy with a pterodactyl, but it feels like if those two players with only those two tames and nothing else go head to head, the character with the ptera or argen is gonna win.

Orp servers are full of cheaters, I played on ASE and all the artifact caves were closed with second accounts that were always offline, they just come online to refresh for 1 min. Making that caves unraideable

Well it be best if orp servers didn't have orp in caves or just dont allow building in or around artifact caves and remove pincodes from orp.

Players will always exploit things as much as they can to save their stuff. So in the vanilla game they form a tribe that can keep any other tribe from making enough progress to raid them/ stop anyone from unlocking tek. In small tribes they do the same with an alliance. So until the devs change the game to stop that. It won't change.

And guess what when transfers open the big tribes will spam alot of the servers to prevent anyone from transfering in being able to raid them so it'll just get worse. At least with orp if you have a foothold you can fight against this sort of gameplay.
