Crypto changes are terrible for pvp, they empower larger groups, solos and small groups can’t loot pocket Dino’s off of enemy tribe kills bc why would they bring pocket Dino’s with them anymore, please revert this change, it hurts the wrong people.

I think a better way to go about the nerf is better understanding what the specific goal of this nerf is, having the crypod unable to deploy within certain distances of bases and players is fine, but they should be deployable in the wild. Furthermore if you want to nerf cheesing caves with this buff just disable deployment within caves

Something I would not like to see is large alpha tribes circumventing this change by putting down cry fridge spam. I would love it if these changes are reverted because this genuinely is damaging to small group pvpers

We all have to understand that big tribes hold a big population of the ark community. But PVP is a HUGE aspect of the game and should require more skill which is true now, picking flyers and bolas, and knowing when to push is important now, not just having a high melee Dino. But PVP should also gear more towards stealth too, cause weapons should be a bit more effective as well and maybe a cryo timer as said earlier could also be a better soloution with increase damage to the Dino in the first 2-3 minutes of deployment

I think you’re right, and I do hate the big group meta, but it’s also a part of what makes the solo life so exciting. As long as they allow wild Dino deployment, and we can loot other people’s cryo pods In the wild I’m happy

Not really, a solo can’t raid a huge group bc of volume, but all a bigger group has to do for a small group is wait

ORP plays against small tribes, because its easier to soak and push a base with a 6 man rather than a duo or trio because you can get a mammoth and a yuti a soaker and a Cspin with RPG and take out a few turrets at a time and repeat that a few times with a big tribe, but a duo cannot because of limits

all solos understand this and use PVP to profit more rather than raiding

before skifs released I would counter metal runs on the center and electronic run extenction against big tribes to save time because I knew they would be farming servers that they controlled and would be weak against a solo attack at the time.

But then skifs came a thing and were too fast for solos to handle unless they had that capability of their own.

I will say most solos understand that bigger tribes have priority for things because they control a larger portion of arks playerbase for PVP servers, but they should also attend to solos as well because that will prevent the game from only being big alpha tribes that control servers

On my server, one tribe blocked all the artifacts caves. So we are not able to get tek. We have like 120 heavies. But yea, we probably gonna get wiped soon cuz of no tek.

The tribe that got tek just shares the artifacts to his allies. All 4 tribes have tek because the alpha gives feeds them. It is a alliance... they are teaming...

I'm pretty sure they are using quetzel Plat base. Only thing I can see in ice cave is a weak yuti and an anky at entrance then the 2 heavys at first choke point. Any other advice on raiding the ice cave? We have never raided a tribe that wasn't beach bobs before lol

You can knock them with narc nades. They'll hit the player too.

If they're smart they'll use stims but a lot of folks don't remember to use them and you can catch them off guard. Bonus: if you knock the rider you can cage them.

And yeah you just need to be prepared. If you don't have dinos then you can't defend, so you need to not be a target.

If you're advanced enough to have heavies, I'd say set up your main base in a pearl cave. Then just have farm spots and a spot for your birds.

So. Just based on what happened on my server. You can get dev wiped bc a random tribe drops turtles on a base that someone else is raiding?

So for example..
Tribe A is giving Tribe B a lot of trouble. So Tribe B gives their friends Tribe C some turtle eggs. Tribe A fobs on Tribe B, so Tribe B calls Tribe C to drop turtles on their base while Tribe A is still fobbed. Tribe B reports Tribe A and C for “teaming” and both tribes get wiped.

there's a solid chunk of caves that have more space than volcano top while having more defendable entrances

build a lot of bases, tame fast dinos, expect to lose things often + remember you are in a pvp server to pvp vs other players, don't cower, and as the wise kishko once said, take as many fights as u can, that way u will improve, but don't go face first into battle, just be aware

@vapid abyss @wide wren a suggestion to make quality of life better: there are soooo many alliances on small tribes that block all the artifacts on the server and team with eachother. A good thing to get rid of this is by making artifacts becoming loot crates (drops as well) or for example to let them be a resource you can get from the Christmas event (raptor Claus Gift) this will make it playable for every ark player. We and a lot of other tribes have put in several tickets but we get the same generated message “ we will investigate”.

Let me know what you think of that idea of putting artifacts in the resource table of drops or Perhaps as a limited time item from the raptor Claus event.

Hey, since we don't have movement speed leveling on official anymore I was wondering if we could get some sort of "fly hack kick" like mechanic since nobody at Wildcard or Snail seem to care enough to ban cheaters and ban people for chat violations instead. The automated system that Rust uses seems pretty neat, atleast you could get the cheaters using speed hacks to slow down or use the information of which players get kicked repeatedly for excessive movement speed to locate cheating tribes. Every server I join has speedhackers and chinese tribes aimbotting. It shouldn't be that big of an issue banning cheaters. Start banning whole tribes more often and see if people will want to play with cheaters still ☺️
