I feel like the need for a more active enforcement team cannot be overcome by hardware bans and cannot be understated. That said in the current state the game is also more than likely impossible to enforce, too many issues

I think the only real solution is to just hire more GM's so they can keep up with the tickets. They were so overwhelmed on ASE with tickets they were weeks behind and the dmg was already done. The sad thing is when you have hundreds of official servers its difficult to realtime patrol those servers.

Big tribes can exists and small tribes and solos can exists on orp.
Without orp it's going to be mostly just big tribes. If you log off in the normal game your stuff is honestly safer without turrets.

Finding out the sleep cycle of your enemies is strategic. If youre trying to progress with the least amount of stuff lost and the most amount gained raiding offline is the best way to progress. I wont lie though active pvp is fun but when youre tribe is trying to gain something to strengthen themselves then they are probably gonna go with offline raiding.

Most unofficial orp servers balance orp a lot better (either it modifies damage done/taken, or it decays after 2-5 days, and it also only applies to a specific area around their main base). So offlining isn't impossible. They also usually have anywhere from 5-14 days of new player protection, where you cannot raid or be raided (open world PvP is fair game, but you are invincible around your base and you are unable to do damage inside someone else's orp radius - you can turn this off early if inclined as well).

They can’t fix it until console releases if they do, PC will have such an unfair advantage as far as BP’s and Loot goes. You won’t be able to get loot similar to what they have now until Surface and Extinction drops, and even then it will still be harder to get OP loot like the capped bps you easily farm out of cave drops now.

It is a very likely possibility and it would avoid them taking responsability for a wipe, but it is a wipe nevertheless, just with extra steps. The isolated servers, much like the “legacy” ones of old will depopulate (and will be pushed to do so) and be shot down and repurposed, even more quickly if this happens early on in the game’s lifespan.

never had issue, only issue was holes in base where u could sneak in with c4, tek rifles etc and wait for enemy come online and start destruction from inside. atleast i was able to do bosses, raise good lines, build big bases and play the game overall with ORP. Without it, big tribes will not let you.

Personally I’d like to see the auto decay counters go way way down for this reason, especially when you can go offline and your build blocks key areas that others need to access. I would like to see more build location restrictions so you can’t block things like artifact caves, as an example.

Why would you get banned for building somewhere? Just go destroy it. It's part of the game. Unless you build in the mesh you can build and block whatever you want without getting banned.

Unofficial orp builds off of official orp and is infinitely customizable. In ASE it usually only applied to a specific radius (you crafted an item to enable it) and either applied total invulnerability/bottomless turrets, or increased turret damage and decreased structure damage, or similar things. The range could be set by the admins.

It also decayed after some time set by the admins.

Yes and no, it was broken, got nerfed, but tbh, everytime they added a new map, they tried to make atleast one dino broken, wyvern was broken back then like really broken, no counter play and no tek, then they tried to hold back on abberation but we still got karkinos for farm, and reaper... I dont think we need to argue about Extinction, but it did bring titans (which were ABSOLUTELY broken at start, they nerfed it after a while), element node and element dust, cryopod allowed made breeding hella easier...

Gen 1 wasn't as nearly game breaking as gen 2, gen 1 had magmasaur bug at start, and that's pretty much it, it did have some op dinos, as every other dlc, but clearly not the BEST dinos out here, gen 2 had noglin, which doesnt belong in a pvp game clearly, tek bow, stryder, etc... Gen 1 was fine to me, but it may need an hexagon nerf, the only problem I had with gen 1 was the bugs, it was prob the most buggy map they ever released.

Especially since with shadowmanes, bloods, maewing, they are one of the best "play around" dinos in the game

You get teleported up alot now and need some funky Tek suit methods to even do anything down there now. Also... Who says they're not also Tracking people who go in the mesh? You have to be at a certain angle and we used to have to hold a whip while on it to tilt the the head just right if the turrets were too high. Only really good for ground turrets right now.

Nope, never played. A real mega tribe shouldn’t either. They wouldn’t have an offline time if they were a mega. Maybe on their farming server but not their main for sure. I would just have my guys set a fob up outside their base and live there knocking away every time they get on. They would have to just let their stuff auto decay if they wanted to use the offline protection thinking it would stop us.

Why is people asking for a specific type of server so triggering for you guys. If you don't like orp and/or have no interest in playing it just stfu about it. Nobody asked for your opinions on something that doesn't interest you. If you like regular pvp or small tribe pvp then go play those, you don't see anyone asking for orp servers bashing anyone asking for more small tribes or more regular servers do you?

Tbf there’s not nearly enough servers . They need to prioritise main servers to actually fit the playerbase before the little gimmick server types like ORP and hardcore

Which skittles has already stated that's what they are doing, which is fine but adding 1 or 2 orp servers just triggers the fuck out of you guys. These are simple requests, not a hard concept to grasp that is all we are doing is showing wildcard there are players requesting orp servers be reinstated and that there is a demand for them.

@vapid abyss @wide wren Please bring our PvP ORP servers back to the official network and redo/re-add these tweaks that never worked when you applied them. v245.0 * Offline Raid Protection mode now disables PIN Locking, and Structures in Caves no longer get ORP

yep, tried trapping one earlier with a cannon on the floor. 2 shots actually did torp out of 40 balls

We tried for 20 or 30 minutes last night. Got it up to around 3500 torpor but then it started bugging. It has to move after 2 balls but even that stopped working.

Bronto's need a buff. They are barely used in pvp(late game). Maybe remove bleed damage. Don't make sense a small cat can bleed a big a$$ bronto.

it probably will get removed. ASE when it first launched had weight limits on storage boxes, so you couldnnt even store metal properly. Enough players complained and it was removed. Same with the day 1 ASE official rates that someone made it into ASA.

I see ur point, but u got to admit they arent used as much in pvp. And not alot ppl focus doing mutations. Maybe increase saddle armor, cut bleed damage in half, or increase health pool prior to their nerf.

Official orp sounds kinda cancerous with only a 15 minute activation delay. Unofficial orps tended to not turn on for 4-8 hours if you logged off in PvP, with a short delay or no delay if you weren't in PvP.

plennty of megas have a breeder focusing on hp / weight mutations on brontos already. GG already has a decent line going. Bleed dmg scales off hp, which is why you don't pump melee on thylos, same with fire dragons. Thylos are easy to deal with.
