Nah pve is boring. I played ase since day 1 on pvp and it’s much more fun. Join a tribe and learn from them. Losing bases and tames is part of the game. The moment you accept that everything you have will eventually be gone you can start having fun. Or play on dedi and find one that suits your needs.

Chill, the game just came out after a rewritten code, and new engine, a new dynamic destruction engine, a reworked map, new items, reworked AI, server issues, and a new anti-cheet system. All of which the devs have to get used to.

ASE's issues were different from the ones currently presented.

The devs are new to what there working with as well.

Blame snail games and their inability to manage their finances, forced WC with a contractual agreement (who has no say in the matter) to release the game before it was in a perfect state (not that any recent multiplayer games have released with a few game breaking exploits and server issues.)

I understand and agree somewhat, but it is one of the few dev teams that listen to the community, have an active say in the discord, they are keeping reasonably busy with their announcements.

Also, their devs are split between two games, I believe atm, ark two, and ASA.

I have hope that in a week or so, it'll be loads better, and as for their promise with console release. It happens, it's upsetting and unfair, but it does happen. Them being bought out isn't really up to the devs, and that contract is a lot of bs.

Well, atm, there are no game-breaking bugs that haven't been patched, to my knowledge. The first set was fixed, and a wipe was done for fair play. Some might be found but the devs have been on top of that and hackers/cheaters.

They already wiped once, and I haven't heard about that plan. If a significant game-breaking exploit is found, I think that they'll do a rollback or a wipe. They are all about fair play and won't allow exploits like that on a new game that has a lot to live up to.

Just got into a fight with an "Alpha" Tribe on OC Small Tribes 9125. 2 players come to raid us, 1 on an Argy and 1 on a ptera. The guy on the Level 202 argy accidently hops off and the argy aggros on oir carno in our enclosed pen. After a 10 minute fight we kill the argy but lose all of our tames. THEN we all lag out and when we rejoin its at the point before the fight and they flee?? COINCIDENCE?? I THINK NOT!!!

I dont know in ASA, but in regular ark you are actually able to go all the way through with your megatherium, it's actually possible to fit your mega through the "choke" point, and it gets easier if you put foundation + ramp, but again, I dont know if it's possible in ASA.

I think no, they just have to implement a queue system similar to Rust, that you can only be in queue on 1 server at a time so as not to collapse the system and that it gives you the option to leave the queue whenever you want

You are right and the transmitter change to do bosses will help with that. The problem is they balanced the game raiding and base defense around being in a cave. They should disbale cave building but they would have to totally redesign raiding. It is IMPOSSIBLE to live above ground in ark, especially in the later DLCs that add so many broken things for raiding ground bases

place a Foundi attach a behemoth trapdoor on it - stay on the trap open it and u are in the mesh
u can throw nades on turret they dont shoot it.
shoot rocket at turret while jumping - turret wont shoot it.

Well its more balanced that way in my opinion, considering with no opponents to defend I could easily raid a base that takes 100 or more hours with 2 hours of my own gameplay. There is a huge disparity there which means if your on regular servers you need to be part of a big tribe or the biggest tribe in order to survive very well. If your tribe is going to log off on non orp, your stuff is safer in a vault at the bottom of the ocean and turrets just make you more likely to be raided.

Has nothing to do with balance. Remove pin codes from ORP and its the best pvp. ORP gives a 15 minute window to play pve tower defense and soak when a tribe logs off. Otherwise ORP forces people to actually pvp instead of sitting on a stego soaking bullets while the other tribe/player is offline/sleeping/working whatever. People can talk as much shit as they want but ORP forces the attackers to actually pvp instead of just pve. No amount of "build better" or "git gud" matter when you are asleep or at work for base defense. because no matter how many guns and bullets a base has its NEVER raid proof for more than a few hours if you arent there to defend. @vestal abyss Non atm which is why im spamming general chat in the hopes the devs see the request and add some orp servers. @tulip rain They thought they did as it was in patch notes(long time ago) but it was never removed. Tribes could still block a cave pin code it and only log in for half a second to refresh decay timers and not log back on while the main tribe could build behind it. Still was a thing till ASE was shut down and i even used 2 extra life donation msg's to try and get them to remove them, it didnt work.

Found a solo rathole on pvp, no meshing. I can build there but cannot spawn or fast travel to any beds in that area. Anyone have any info on bed spawning restrictions on official pvp? I know if not enough height that you random spawn but I appear to have plenty. melee hits are super off in ASA, they don't land anywhere near consistantly even right up in their face. Against prim flak, 2 fort, its like 300 melee with a prim club to knock them out.

I disagree completely, banning that way gets a lot of people that have nothing to do with it banned as well. It would also be possible to join another tribe just to cheat to get it removed.

It’s deserved in my opinion, even tho it’s hard it should be up to tribe leaders to enforce and make sure nobody is doing shady stuff in there tribe , as ARKs code of conduct states “Do not under any circumstances allow hackers to join your tribe, alliance, or party up alongside you within the game. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to remove them or yourself from the tribe.”

Hard disagree again. Lets take the example of a new player: he joins a tribe on a new server just to get banned the next day as the tribe was meshing. What was he supposed to do? FYI its what happened to me on ASE. I joined a new tribe, logged off and woke up banned. To say it was tilting to lose my account that played since early access is an underestimation and I dont want anyone to experience that.

Best method is argy/anky. Find an anky with a lot of melee, level up nothing but melee, use argy to carry anky around, and just hit metal rocks with anky.

What is the exact formula for giga rage? How much damage in how much time? I want to enrage a giga from another tribe

It seems really difficult to enrage a giga without using a giga of your own. Before, you could enrage a giga by falling off a cliff or sending a few hardy kentros their way or just have them bite spike walls. Tbh I think the only real way to enrage a giga is by using another giga with high melee. Maybe even a carchar at full bloodlust
