Living on the water is an idea, but since the ocean on the Island is so minimal, it’d still be a risky idea. Same with in the water. I honestly don't feel there is any major reward with ASA. The way they handled this doesn't give me any hope things will change with Ark2. Now sure, they'll have a lot of time to work with Unreal 5 and they'll have more knowledge that can be applied to Ark 2. But they've lost a lot of players right now because of this pain and I don't think they'll be back. Especially now that survival games are coming out from all directions.

I was on legacy back in the day when they began to shut down the servers. A few of us were allowed to join a tribe on another server to see the things they had. I shit you not, they have 12 tek replicators completely filled with duped items. It was like a candyland for us and we grab and created bases completely filled with tek. It was glorious and we loved every minute of it until they closed the server.

I have no doubt, that is what is happening right now on some of the servers. Some of these tribes are going to have wealth beyond your imagination. I'm sure WC will wipe. It would be a very bad choice if they didn't. Maybe they have a way just to destroy just the duped items.

How is cross platform servers going to work, seems like PC players will be at a crazy advantage unless console gets console commands (ironic that console never gets "console" commands...). PC players will have double the FPS of console players, far higher visibility from completely disabling grass, shadows, water, etc, if I was on console I would never play this game with PC players.

If console actually has console commands that isn't as bad then, I'm just never seen a console game with console commands, Skyrim always been broken for console players cause PC players can just unstuck quests with commands but console was just straight screwed

You don't need to do anything with Ini to go into Ini files to make water and all bushes and rocks invisible though if that's what your talking about.

it doesn't need believing, it's literally right in front of you, there are no official servers, and they are making 2x the price of the game that goes directly to the server company instead of snail games, monthly, without any steam cut, each server they sell. It's monopoly tactics, go learn economics.

It's nitrados business to sell servers, not give them for free to wildcard, so they will limit the supply to increase the demand.

Just stop and use your brain for a second, if there is a button in the UI to pay for and set up your own server for 2x the price of the game per month and it gets set up automatically, then there is literally nothing stopping them from doing the same thing for official servers other than their own economic interest.

All the servers are like this, I joined 20 servers all with varied numbers 65, 60, 55, 37, 43/70 and they all said servers were full, I updated them and they continued with the same number of players, they have to solve the servers now, it cannot be done To play you have to wait until they turn them off for an update to be able to enter first or you won't play.

The logisitcal side you talk about is a tiny hosting fee they pay to amazon web services and making new servers is as simple as upping their monthly fee and pressing buttons, but each time they do that they sell measurably less unofficials to people. Somebody has a spreadsheet at nitrado that predicts the impact on their profits of having free servers.

We had a tribe mate stay still while we tried shooting at them, and it def still hit when aiming over their heads. Either that was lag with aiming, or their hitboxes are slightly off. Also tools are hilariously oversized on their hands but shoulder dinos do scale down. They are the same move speed as full size players OFC.
