Nah. The only reason you want a vote is because it's a desperate attempt to get what you want. Truth is, it doesn't matter. Wildcard is a private entity and they make the game. They can do that however they like. I disagree with how they handle things a lot, but this is one that I agree with. I think it was the right step. Desperate players who want to be able to modify game files to remove half of the game's graphical components for a PVP advantage pretending it's so Ark doesn't fry their PCs ain't it.

It's an advantage because it removes key graphical components of the game (bushes, trees, water, fog, so on...) that make it advantageous for PVP players. It also removes things like mana freeze beam, flamethrower fire, plant Z flash, smoke grenade smoke, etc.

Some of the most populated Ark servers are on windows version i see 1-3k players on wipe every server capped for hours and days ini has never been a problem there and still isn't

And that's my point. PVP players know what they're doing. For people coming in and saying that it's for gains in PC performance, it's a smokescreen. Any ini you get will remove bushes and clear the water. That's literally why they do it. It gives an unfair advantage.

I do, however, agree that Ark is poorly optimized and ini can help with that. I used ini because I have photosensitivity issues and it mellowed out and softened the colors. But I also recognize that the concept of being able to edit game files to tell the game what to show the player is a liiiittle bit broken.

Also, speedhacks are patched in case you didn't know.

Look, I appreciate your dedication to the cause, but arguing that you should be able to modify game files for a soft ini still allows players room to modify game files for hard ini. If the benefits that you're getting from soft ini are accessibility and performance, there are other ways Wildcard can (and is considering the impending upgrade to UE5) addressing this. So, again, they did the right thing.

So I don't work for wildcard, I'm just a community volunteer to help with the discord, I don't even play official, I just used to work in IT so have a rudimentary understanding of coding and software/etc. but here's the thing,

Cheats work by affecting the gamefiles in some way or changing X/Y so that you can do Z right?
Now that they have removed ini which was a cheat/exploit whatever you want to call it. You understand how much easier it will be for them to pick out those who are cheating now that they don't have to worry about "little Billy" who made his sky, foliage and water gone for "better fps".

I obviously have no idea what their plans are or their ideas. But just thinking about it for a second makes me believe that this ini change was so that it is easier for them to clamp down on the much larger and more challenging cheats and exploits

Vacuum compartments are tek engrams, which means you need to fight bosses to unlock them. If you're on an official server, sometimes people are kind and will help new players through the boss fights. You can unlock this by fighting the Ragnarok boss on Beta or Alpha, which also unlocks the Moonpool and the tek generator you need to power them.

A server which disables all dinos. You have to grow food to eat. However, plants allow you to gain more food. But they are rarer.

PVP is also enabled. Since dinos don't exist the only way to get hide is by killing other humans. Which gives you a boosted amount of hide for the troubles.
